Hiyahiyahey! So this won't be layed out as my normal stories because uh I'm in a bit of a rush so there won't be any character fact files, no separate chapters and no obnoxiously long breaks before and after parts of the story. I hope you enjoy it!
I, Serena was fast asleep, it was my 3rd night at the Bats and Cats Halloween Resort. I'm here with my 2 friends, Areum and Seiko. The resort seemed spooky with random howling and creaking at night but me and my friends got used to it. There was also obnoxiously loud meowing at 12:06 every single night but even I myself don't know where it comes from. The resort rooms are pretty plain and dark with cobwebs in the corners and always spiders all over the place, the resort itself almost seems like a gothic/witchy house. There's rats in the buffet and mice at the reception desk. The cats hanging around are very friendly though. The outside of it isn't much different. Instead of large outdoor swimming pools with lounge chairs all around it there's a large storage building with dead plants surrounding it. Instead of a fun golf course there's a dead field stained with blood. You might be wondering why did we even choose this resort. Well..... let's just say all the other resorts close by are all booked for the month. Even we were very disappointed. We are all squished in a tiny room with 2 single beds and a couch. There's only a toilet, a small sink and a small shower in the bathroom, and theres a fluffy black rug with either ketchup stains or blood stains. (or both) There's a small TV and there's no kitchen whatsoever. The balcony looks down onto the spooky carpark. The neighbouring buildings look very suspicious. The buildings include: Abandoned mansion, a gym that is now an apartment block and a ''ghost'' school (the school is rumoured to have ghosts and other spirits inside of it) I woke up, there was a note on my bed. 'See this note? Well, to whoever's reading it, I want you and 2 others to go on a quest for me, go to the storage building and look in the dead plants for further instruction.' the note read. 'Areum! Seiko! Come here!' I exclaimed. 'Huh?' They asked, rushing towards my bed. I showed them the note, they both read it. 'Ooh! A spooky scavenger hunt! exclaimed Seiko. 'Exciting!' Areum put her hand on Seiko's shoulder. 'Are you sure we should go? It seems suspicious.' asked Areum. 'Well, it doesn't seem that bad, doesn't it?' I replied. 'I guess so.' Areum said quietly. 'What are we waiting for? What are we waiting for?' Seiko repeated her words, jumping up and down. We exited our resort room and then the resort building and headed towards the storage building. 'This must be it.' I sighed. Seiko squirmed and started digging in the dead plants right away, then me and Areum joined in. 'Found it!' Seiko exclaimed, waving a piece of paper in the air. 'I read it!' Seiko said, bringing the note close to her face. 'Well, you found it I guess, now go to the basement in the resort to receive your next clue.....' she read aloud. 'Let's go!' she exclaimed. Areum and I exchanged worried glances but chased after Seiko into the resort building. 'Down here!' she signalled, like she knows everything. Areum and I followed Seiko down the stairs into the basement. There was obnoxiously loud screeching down there but Seiko carried on, while Areum and I shivered from fear. Seiko grabbed a large torch from some random table and found a barrel, tipping it over, revealing strange green liquid and a plastic bag, Seiko untied the knot in the bag and took out the next clue. 'I'm good at this!' she bragged. 'You can read it, Serena.' She said, handing me the paper. 'I thought you wouldn't find it, well now, go further into the basement until you find spiral stairs, walk down them and you'll be in for a surprise.....' I read, shivering. 'Ooh! Surprises! I love surprises!' exclaimed Seiko. Probably not a very good surprise. I thought, but carried on, Areum seemed to be thinking the same. We walked further down and we reached the stairs. We went down and noticed a strange figure standing in front of us, holding a blunt sword. 'Hi there! I'm Se-' began Seiko, but I cut her off, putting my hand over her mouth. 'Shh, this is dangerous. don't tell this strange man your name.' I whispered into her ear, she nodded. We faced the strange man. 'The quest brought you here, didn't it?' he asked. 'Y-yes.' replied Areum, shaking. 'Don't be scared, young one.' he stepped closer to Areum, revealing his deep, red eyes. A luminous green portal lit behind him as her came forward to us, sword in hand. We huddled in fear as he stepped closer. 'One of you, enter the portal, or else we'll do it the hard way.' he whispered. 'I will.' I offered, my friends looking at me like I wanted to get killed by him. 'Very well.' he said. I walked towards the portal, the man handed me his sword. 'Good luck.' he whispered, as I looked up at him. I stepped towards the portal. What am I going to do? Fight evil? I thought. After a moment of hesitation I stepped in. I was in a dark castle. I looked around as I saw an army of evil witches. They laughed and cackled at my terrified facial expression. 'Oh look, a silly ol' human trying to defeat us? She looks so scared.' one witch cackled, the others laughed. 'I would like to see her try.' another witch sneered. I stepped closer, feeling braver. I used my sword as a shield before trying to fight the witches. 'I'm outnumbered.' I whispered to myself. The witches revealed much stronger swords. They started swiping at me. I swiped back. It was going on like that until a witch swiped so hard my sword broke in half, the top bit shattered onto the cold and slippery floor. 'Huzzah!' shouted one witch, back-up witch's charging up at me. We fought with our swords until one witch slapped my sword so hard it flew onto the ground and shattered. I tried going back through the portal but there were more witches there. I got cornered. I managed to get out. I sprinted towards a tower. I got onto the top- not a very good idea. I was looking out at one side, holding a small dagger that I found. A witch probably spotted me. She fired an arrow at my back and all of a sudden the world escaped my grasp as everything around me faded, I was gone.
