"K-Kaya.." Max stood in the doorway, completely frozen.
The monitor inside Kaya's dorm played a static noise before showing a picture of Monokuma. It's Midday. He can't have a time announcement...
"A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, a class trial will be held! Goooood luck!"
"C-Class.. Trial..?" Chiaro walked over to Gray as he stood up. "Kaya.. What the hell..."
"I can't believe this..." Sora's eyes flowed with anger. "HELL! WE LET THIS HAPPEN!"
"Crap.. what.. do friends do.." Etsuko grabbed Whisp's sleeve.
Raven stood behind Max. She put her hand on Max's shoulder and didn't seem disturbed.
"....W-Whisp doesn't know.. Senpai-kun... What do friends do now..!?" Whisp let out a cry.
"DAMMIT! I DON'T KNOW! Why are you asking me!?" Gray walked in to the doorway, and moved beyond Max, who still stood in the doorway completely awestruck.
"Class.. Trial? What... is a class trial?" Max stared at Kaya.
"GOOD QUESTION!" Monokuma appeared. Everyone began wandering in to the dorm, some covered their mouths, noses, their eyes watered; yet Monokuma stood beside Kaya's lifeless corpse completely sane.
"A Class Trial is where you guys battle it out.. *cough* I mean, debate on which one of you killed the victim! Right now, you should all be investigating! You all only have a set time to investigate before the Class Trial starts at 4pm."
"4... 4PM!?" Chiaro looked down upon Monokuma with widened eyes along with everyone else; that leaves roughly 4 hours. To investigate a murder? The clues? The murder weapon? The crime scene? 4 hours?
"That's not enough time.." Raven held her head up.
"That's so.. That's so cruel! 4 hours.. None of us would do this..!"
"Oh contraire," Monokuma said eccentrically, "None of you would do this, you say? You were all arguing this morning. One of you definitely did this, 'cause I didn't."
"Why the hell.. Why the hell should we believe you!?" Alexia stood in front of Monokuma. "She's dead! Why would any of us do this.. No one held a grudge against her, why would anyone hold a grudge against her...!? She was so innocent!"
"Well one of you definitely did it." Monokuma held up his arms. "I don't have any fingers. The only thing i can hold is something flat. I ain't gonna hold a knife by the blade!"
"You're insane.. Absolutely insane..!" Gray wiped his sweat.
"HEY! SADDOS! KEEP IT DOWN IN THERE!" Luna's voice could be heard down the line of cottages. "OR DO I HAVE TO COME AND KILL YOU MYSE- Oh my lord what is happening in here if this is a party count me i- HOLY CRAP!" Luna gasped. "Damn, I saw that body announcement thing, but it is April 1st.."
"W-What.. are you talking about!? Do you think this is a joke!? It's June 7th!" Alexia kept looking at Kaya's body. She bent down to look at Kaya more. "Why did this happen to her, of all people.."
Raven walked up to Kaya's body and her her hand on Kaya's neck.
"H-Hey..! What are you doing!?" Sora burst out.
"Well.. We know he wasn't lying now." Raven turned to everyone. "She's definitely dead. And it's definitely Kaya."
"D-Don't.. Just.. Get away from Pinafore-girl.. It's disrespectful.." Etsuko tugged on Raven's hood.
"So.. It was true.." Kanna appeared in the doorway. "Kaya.. It's Kaya..?"
"Kanna.." Alexia walked over to Kanna.
Raven looked behind her at Etsuko. Raven kept her hood up.
"Don't pull on my hood.. It's uncomfortable.. but.. To reply to what you're saying.. It's more disrespectful to let her murderer walk free, no?" Raven stood up and began looking around the dorm. She opened the bathroom door and quickly glanced inside.
"Sure.. but.. atleast give us time to mourn..?" Alexia grabbed Raven's sleeve.
Max walked over to Raven. "They're right.. I know.. but.. we need to mourn her at least.."
"I'm sorry, but.. We'll have plenty time to mourn after this thing is over and done with. I'm sorry if it's pushy or disrespectful to all of you, but I believe this is the best way to go."
"Damn you.." Alexia glared at the darkness under Raven's hood.
"Whisp.. agrees with hoodie-girl, to be honest.." Whisp grabbed Alexia's hand. "Pinafore-girl... friends will be able to remember when friends find out who hurt pinafore-girl.."
"F-Fine.. but.. can I search somewhere else.." Alexia cupped her hands around her mouth. "I can't.. stay here.. I'm going to be sick." Kanna put her hand on Alexia's shoulder.
"I'll come with you, then.. I can't either.. I can't.." Kanna and Alexia walked out of the doorway. Chiaro decided to follow them. Gray went outside. Inside the cottage Gray could be heard telling the 3 of them to go and find the rest of the students. Gray came back inside once they had departed.
Sora devised a plan. "We'll divide and conquer. We'll leave the body for know, since Alteca and Niji are best at that sorta stuff. The rest of us will search the cottage. Max, Raven, and Etsuko can search the shelves. Gray and I will search the lounge and bed-"
"The bed!?" Whisp looked at Gray and Sora with widened eyes.
"Oh-- I didn't mean it like that... Uhm, Whisp you can search the bed then. Gray and I will search around the TV and the lounge. We'll also cover any floor space. Luna I want you to go look around the rest of the hotel. The lobby. The restaurant. No coffee. Anything suspicious will do. Be rigorous. Is that OK?"
Everyone agreed it was the best plan of action. There was nowhere else that should be searched.
INVESTIGATION: START
Raven rubbed her gloved hands together. "So.. should we split up, like.. Cabinets, Shower, Bath, Toilet.."
"C-Can Etsuko dib the sink?"
"Oh.. What does that mean I get..?" Max looked worryingly at Raven.
"You can switch with Whisp if you want.. It's the bed or the bathro--"
"Bathroom!" Max decided quickly. "What should I do though.."
"I have an idea. You check the toilet and I'll check the shower. It's probably not really needed, but.. Etsuko and I will check the bin to the side of the toilet just to be cautious."
"Are you sure..?" Max looked at the shadow Raven's hood was creating.
"Yeah, I'm sure, don't worry about it." "Yeah, Etsuko and friends will divide and conquer!" Etsuko smiled gleefully.
Raven peered through the shower curtains.
"Well, uh.. It stinks in here.." Raven backed out.
"Stinks?" Max turned around to look at Raven. Max opened the lid of the toilet.
"Liquor." Raven looked at Max.
"Huh?"
"It stinks of liquor." Raven pulled the curtain further. Max flickered.
The entirity of the bottom of the shower was fizzing slightly and stained slightly yellow.
"What is that..?" Etsuko peered over Raven's shoulder.
"I dunno. I'll ask later. Someone'll know it, I bet." Raven looked down the plughole. Nothing.
Max looked inside the toilet. It was completely clean.
"Is there a plunger?" Max looked around the toilet.
"Silly Glasses-person! Plungers are only for blocked toilets!"
"Here's one." Raven handed Max a plunger from the sink cabinet.
"O-Oh-- HOODIE-GIRL!" Etsuko tugged on Raven's hoodie.
"Thanks!" Max smiled at Raven.
"GLASSES-PERSON NOOOOO!--"

"GAK! ETSUKO'S SOAKED!" Etsuko shook off the water on her sweater.
"Gah! My hoodie.." Raven started shaking off the water on her hoodie.
"S-Sorry, I didn't listen.. but.. O-Oh.." Max, completely soaked,
"Huh? Did Glasses-Person find something?" Etsuko and Raven looked down the toilet too.
Glass shards had begun floating on the surface of the water.
"Glass..?"
"G-Guys!" Gray opened the door to the toilet. "It's Tabitha. Something's happened to her."
"Tabitha?" Max looked at Gray. All three of them were still soaked, but ran out in to the line of cottages anyway.
Tabitha's cottage, Directly next to Kaya's, had a small crowd in front of it. Alteca was one of them. Niji walked in to Kaya's cottage when the three of them left.
"What.. happened to you three?" Niji walked past them to Kaya.
"Long story..." Max, Raven and Etsuko walked right to Tabitha's cottage.
On the bed was Tabitha lying on her back.
Upon first glance, a knife was stabbed in to her side.
"Dammit, I need more bandages, has Kanna gone to get some?"
"Y-Yeah..." Alexia stood beside Alteca, who was kneeling by the bed dressing Tabitha's wound, looking very shaken.
"T-Tabitha is.. Is she dead too!?" Max ran over to Alexia.
"N-No.. She's just.. bad.. yeah, bad.." Alexia was holding bandages in her hand that were frantically being used up by Alteca. "Ch-Chiaro's gone to get more, but.. I don't know.."
[Ding-dong-bing-bong]
"It's just one hour until the class trial starts! Gather your evidence and make your way to Monokuma rock. Even you, Tabitha. You're not dead."
Kaya Fern, the Ultimate Model.
Her death was caused by a blow to the head by a blunt object. More specifically the back of the head.
Not just that, but Tabitha was stabbed too, in the stomach, by a knife.
Both were cruel acts of obvious murderous intent.
Since Tabitha isn't dead, can she provide useful evidence to support the case?
Did they gather enough evidence?
Can they prove who Kaya's murderer is?
Is it really one of the students?
Who knows?
Monokuma knows.
