To be honest, at this point, stakes are high.
Luna's complaining about dehydration.
Alteca's tired.
I sit in the corner. Constantly.
Max and Kanna are paranoid.
Gray's fiercely hacking our handbooks.
Sora's playing the arcade games non-stop. He looks just as tired as Alteca.
Whisp has been studying with Etsuko since we got back from the trial. She's taking her second test in a matter of hours.
Etsuko came out in unicorn pyjamas today.
Chiaro's been bunking with Etsuko.
Chiaro and Alteca volunteered to take care of Alexia and Raven while they're in their comatose state, but as far as I'm concered, I wish to lock myself in my cottage and never come out. Until this is all over. Or just kill me now. I don't want to deal with another person dying, not after Kaya and Tabitha.
I kept kicking the leg of my bed, stubbing my toe, for no reason. I don't know why. It may have been to relieve the stress I was feeling, but after a while, I noticed that the only thing I was feeling was pain.
Every time I leave my cottage I will always go to the restaurant. Seeing as I can't touch human skin, I have to layer clothes. I wore 3 sweaters today on top of eachother. It limits me from swimming, since skin fibres will probably still be in that water, even if it gets drained, I don't trust it.
Food, too. I've lived off of the cereal bars from the supermarket that are concealed in plastic wrappers, just so that I'm not coming into contact with anything from another human.
Eventually, I was on the last bite of my cereal bar. I got up and went to the fridge, and there was nothing there, except purified water.
I put on three more layers of sweaters, two shirts, a scarf, two pairs of socks, and large sneakers.
I headed out to the supermarket.
"Smart-Boy!" Etsuko waved to me, having not seen her coming since I was staring at the floor, I flinched, looking up, caught off-guard.
"A-Ah! Etsuko!" I instantly took a step back.
"Oh! Sorry! Etsuko forgot about Smart-Boy's wristband. Etsuko just wanted to say hello." Etsuko smiled at me, she seemed to be making sure she wasn't a threat.
"Etsuko, you don't have to worry about it." I laughed, "We're all a bit skitterish right now. Are you OK?"
"Ah, Etsuko was asked by Flower-Girl to go and get more food." Etsuko held out the plastic bag in her hand, to show me. Inside I could see simple things: bread, pasta, meat, fries -
"..For Chiaro?" I looked over at Etsuko, confused.
"Flower-Girl said that Flower-Girl and Detective-Boy were running out of things to process for Hoodie-Girl and Converse-Girl."
"Process for.. Raven and Alexia?" I translated her nicknames, and she nodded to me.
"Etsuko, you can't process stuff like that. Come on, I'll show you what you can get to process for them."
I led Etsuko back to the supermarket (2 or so metres away from each other) where I began pointing out things that would be better to process. One thing in particular that I pointed out was milk instead of things like water, juice and soda.
I got my cereal bars, and we took them and the other foods out of the supermarket.
I talked with Etsuko all the way back to the hotel, and I waved to her as I entered my cottage.
I'm terrified. To be honest, tomorrow, or today, Kanna, Alexia, Raven, or Max could die.
And that terrifies me.
I'm petrified.
I want to leave.
I just want to curl in to a ball.
I don't want to wake up.
But I didn't fall asleep.
I couldn't.
It's still light outside.
So I'll go out.
Enjoy the time with everyone I know.
While it lasts.
I walked around the pool to go to the lobby, and on one of the chairs, I saw Max.
"Max..?" I walked closer to Max.
"Oh. Niji. I was wondering if I could talk to you."
"Max? What about?" I snuggled my arms under my sweaters.
"Can we walk to the airport? I have something important to talk to you about."
"..Ok."
To be honest, I don't trust it.
Max seems a lot more talkative.
Straight-forward, if you will.
And I don't trust it.
But maybe Max is gonna kill me.
Who knows.
I don't know.
Maybe it's best.
I get out of here.
Maybe I won't be down to Earth,
but I'll be out of hell.
We reached the airport after walking 2 metres away from eachother in silence.
We entered the airport. Max walked in to the centre of the polished floor silently.
Eventually, Max turned around to face me.
"...You stayed silent this whole time because you realised it already, right?"
"Max? What are you talking about?"
"You can't do that." Max continued, despite my disruption, so I let them talk.
"I want you to promise me something. I have a wish, but I can't even seem to accomplish it. Kaya. Tabitha. I should have realised something. So promise me this, Niji."
Max walked forward, not too far from me. I stood still. Was Max going to touch me, activate my poison? Kill me?
"Niji." I noticed I had closed my eyes, stiffened with fear. "Look at me, Niji."
I looked at Max.
"I want you to carry on my wish. My wish is that I will protect everyone. Protect everyone until we leave this island. I'm giving my wish to you, Niji. From now on, you're going to carry on my wish. You're going to protect everyone."
"Max.. I sorta know what you want me to do, but..." My voice shook.
That's so cruel.." I continued.
"It's cruel.. But..
.....I understand. I'll do it. You can trust me. I won't let your wish... go ungranted."
With that, Max nodded, at me, and smiled. As Max walked by me, I could have sworn that their eyes teared up.
But that doesn't matter.
Because that was the last time I saw Max alive.
I realised.
Once I was back in my cottage.
Entrusting a wish that is not yet fulfilled,
on to another person
is diabolical if you are still alive,
would you not push to accomplish that wish?
And i thought,
I had a hunch,
that Max was up to something.
So I ran to Max's cottage.
I was the first one to find Max.
Then Kanna.
Then Alteca and Chiaro came from nextdoor.
And the body announcement rang throughout the island.
Not only that, but
we found someone else in Max's cottage.
Tied up.
Luna.
Alive.
[BODY DISCOVERY OFFICIAL PROCEDURE]
NAME: Max Gunderson
AGE: 14
HEIGHT: Short
CAUSE OF DEATH: Unknown
BODY POSITION: Tied up securely by rope to the legs of Max's bed, which is propped upwards against a wall.
BODY CONDITION: Eyes + mouth have blood streaming from them. Furthermore, Max seems to have been convulsing blood after death. Additionally, all of Max's eyes have become black and red. The body has been sweating, and Max's hands were tightly clenched. Body temperature is now extremely below average, but it seems to have been cooling down from an extremely high temperature before death. Finally, there were three knives stabbed through the stomach.

I didn't have a lot of time to write it.
It was originally a lot longer on paper, but I had to shorten it and chop out different parts.
Sorry that some people weren't in this story.
But like mentioned before, there are certain characters who are mentioned more than others for the sake of the upcoming class trial.
So before the next episode where the investigation begins, I want to mention some of the truth bullets, and the main suspects.
