Ever, heard of this rule? Probably not because its not in the rules!

Why should we add this rule? To prevent people from making the same mistake that I did. To stop you from getting banned for over 4months!

I was told by a senior moderator, Kasix, that staff follow a strict guide to make sure the rules are enforced and we are told specifically under no circumstances are we to allow ban evasion. (he/she is the reason I am making this)

This is NOT common knowledge As said by, Kasix, again that "We aren't like any other networks..." what that means is that they do not do traditional rules as compared to other servers.

I am currently suffering a long ban from this, which I had no idea wasn't permitted on the server.

This is a thing that ALL players should know and the problem is that, they don't know. I guarantee if you ask any non-staff players "What happened on this server if you Ban Evade". They will get the wrong answer.

What I thought this rule was that, as long as you don't harass the staff member about being banned. You would be fine. but NO that is wrong.

What the rule should say: something along the lines of "Ban evasion is when you bypass your main accounts ban by joining on a different account. Main account or not, you are still the same person that plays on the alts ,so that means you are bypassing the ban. Even if you have done nothing wrong on your main account, it still will be banned. NO EXCEPTIONS!"

alright, done writing this. Have an nice day/night everybody! <3

A few rules you may have overlooked:

  • Use common sense » These rules are not all encompassing and can't possibly include everything you can't do on the server. If you feel you shouldn't be doing something, then don't do it.
You were banned, you clearly aren’t allowed on the forums because of this. Although it isn’t part of the forum rules, it’s concept is still relevant.
  • Only one person allowed per account, and only one account is allowed per person. You are responsible for anything that happens to your account.
This rule here pretty much sums up everything. Just because your account was banned, doesn’t mean that you can go ahead and create another account. You then would have two accounts, even though one is banned.

——

Im giving a -1 as there’s no reason for this.

This rule is already on the server.

come on, it’s common sense. you got banned for a reason, what’s the point in it if you just completely ignore that ban and get on the server anyway. ban evaders clearly don’t learn from their mistakes otherwise they wouldn’t ban evade which is probably another reason it’s a longer ban for when you do it

Not every little thing should be in the rules - generally, punished players would have the initiative to make an appeal against their punishment, not trying to find a way around it expecting to get away with it. If you were punished even further for ban evading then you're at fault, not because the rules don't say it's not allowed.

This is NOT common knowledge

you say this isn't common knowledge yet every fiber of your being should scream "hey, maybe avoiding my ban is a bad idea!". and you cant claim ignorance, you're instructed in-game to look at the rules on the website.

"If you feel you shouldn't be doing something, then don't do it." is a quote from the 'common sense' rule. I don't know what world you exist in where it would be acceptable for you to avoid your ban.

you were banned for doing something wrong, in no way would your logic say "well if I just join under another account, it'll be fine!"

Just gonna say this even though I am the unpopuliar vote...

The rules are vag and the meaning is different to everyone. For example the rule do not play against your own team. Well I am the murderer and I can still not kill my friend and we can hang out blah blah. In the rule I am not breaking it yet it is not allowed from what I am certain.

The ban evasion I cover below.

Just saying some people won't go all out into the rules and some have different thought processes that could say well if I lost my data and stop hacking I can simply continue on another account. It happens and if the rules aren't clear in the phyiscal writing then how am I meant to know that I can't escape it besides making random accusations on a rule.

We've already spoken about this in private message that it is common sense to not evade a current ban with another account. As stated above, we don't need to stress on every issue that has to be included in the rules page, as generally it does lead down to common sense. Multiple networks use this rule too, though this is the first one you've come across so I won't go into much detail about that. Every one of your concerns were addressed to in private message.

under no circumstance should it be common knowledge to avoid a ban. ive met nobody who rejoins under another username without the intention to be sneaky and avoid punishment. if they do join without that intent, they are the very quiet minority.

How would you know? Just because you would think that doesn't mean others would as you were a staff member before. Lets say you were 12 you only went to school and a friend of yours introduces you to minecraft and this said server. You then get bored and find out about hacks and start hacking yourself later you get banned or any other way you get banned and do not know anything about the rules or any prior knowledge to minecraft server rules or game rules ect. Your friend then tells you can get another account to continue playing and so you do.

Not exactly like this with some cases but some might include reading the rules and you didn't realize that ban evading is apart of it.

common sense is simply what you believe not a defined rule. Many
people are young and do not have a good common sense.

horrible english I'm sorry I am shaking from the cold so much oml.

im not gonna keep this petty squabble up so shoot me a dm if you still disagree.

and i said most people do not have that intent/mindset, but some people can and are just the quiet minority.

I agree.

Adding this rule is basically copying a rule. The staff who banned you decides how long you'll be banned depending on what you've done. As @fortryde said, common sense is required for a suggestion. You can't include everything.

We've already spoken about this in private message that it is common sense to not evade a current ban with another account. Due to @Kasix 's message, you're attempted to evade a ban strike by administering a rule you've already broken. You don't need to speak about everything on the server! My little bro invaded my computer and did the same thing. As @Kasix stated, you don't need for something private to go public. Being banned on the first time can be stressful. Once I just stole a Shulker box from a moderator and got banned permanently, and since I'm banned from their forums, #Can'tApply. However, it was on a different network. @Kasix stated that this is your first ban in your history on the MCPZ Network. Don't take in shame. If you're trying to evade a ban with another account, don't give it a shot. It's not worth it.

Precisely. Almost nobody does that because you probably want to hang out with your bestie? TOO BAD. You'll get busted and relationship? It'll go snap. Don't give it a shot, you'll lose your friends probably.

I was told by a senior moderator, Kasix

HOLD YOUR HORSES MATE! Kasix is a Senior. She's mature and she knows rule-brekaers. She wouldn'tve banned you unless she knows you broke a rule. No need to go whine-mode and complain about it by "enforcing a new rule". You need common sense to evade a ban.

it's not a flame war it's a debate, which is common for sorting out problems or clashes like this. me and @TimeLord sorted our dispute calmly, so it's not like these are personal attacks. no need to lock unless a flame war actually starts.

This has been added to the rules:

  • Do not evade punishments » Logging onto ANY account to bypass a current punishment will result in further punishment.
