Implemented Background

I think the background is perfect.
It displays the Partyzone logo well. If it becomes too distracting, the logo won't stand out as it does now.
 
I personally think it's too dark so maybe the Web Developers (@agh) could change it up a bit

I agree with @IdcSnow and disagree with @CanYouDont

I personally agree with @IdcSnow because yes it is plain and yes it could do with a new back ground. But that's all up to @agh to decide.

I disagree with @CanYouDont because I don't see the point of the title ` PARTYZONE ` standing out, like, I mean, wouldn't It be obvious it's the PZ website, it says at the bottom corner.

Lots of websites/companies/and even servers like to make it clear that this is their website. They make their logo stand out by using plain backgrounds. Look at other well known companies and see how their logos clearly stand out. It's a good technique.

MCPZ wants their logo to stand out, even if you know that this is their website, some new players do not and the logo helps with that. It's their label and having it plain like that makes it easily noticeable.

Though changing things like the color, like @Dizzeh said, is always a good option. I agree it's a bit too dark. It could be lightened a bit ;P

Okay, all that is true but it kinda will not make a difference if there was a background. The word: back, is supposed to be behind the main bit, in this case, the logo.

Things in the background could be distracting and pull attention from the logo.

In my opinion the color is the only thing that can distract people or depending how bright/dark it is. Matching the background with the forums color will make it more suitable and less distracting.

If the background change was subtle, but say adding a whole scene of mc with animals and characters would be very distracting. Changing the color is subtle, and adding maybe one or even two mc chars is subtle.

I see where you're going with this. But let's say we had that background and I was new to the forums, I know that it stands out because it is bold and yes the background would be subtle but at least the main title ` PARTYZONE ` is actual see able. The title also would be the clearest thing on the whole background/forums.

I am for a subtle background that you can see the logo clearly, but I am worried that some people will want a background that seems pretty but is very chaotic when paired with the logo, one that will be so chaotic that you are distracted from the main logo.

That's why in my opinion, the background should be blue of some sort, to fit the forums background, or the forums background atm . In other words, it could also be white so the background has the same color as the title: PARTYZONE
 
I was told if I recall correctly that the background was being worked on, not sure if it's the same currently and if it's supposed to be like this because I remember the web developer changing the pattern etc.

I think @agh isn't currently working on one right now... Might have to contact him... I've also heard rumours being spread something about the forums changing completely, new colors, new sections in forums etc etc
 
I would like to see a different back round. +1

Chills it's not the end of the world or is it? The people that do the stuffs will most likely figure this outs.
 
@CanYouDont for increased visibility the image can have a dark blue radial or vertical gradient with high opacity, small enough to cover the title, like so: http://imgur.com/a/RQtBB
*the background was an example it can be changed to anything

Yeah, something like that would be fine in my opinion. It's not too distracting.
