General April Fools Partyzoners!

This sounds like fun and all, but would this be possible? Even if it is possible, I'm under the impression that this would take a lot of work just for a one day event.
I'm not a Java developer, but I would think two separate ranks can't have the same name without permissions clashing / overruling one another etc. If I'm wrong then I'm all for the suggestion.
(Maybe instead of a rank switch, players could be disguised as Gigosaurus when they log in, but still have their own username to avoid confusion of course.)

True, if we just stick with changing a rank’s colors then this should be an easy joke.

I’ve had experience with someone making ranks, and changing the colors is a lot easier than some people think. Basically just a simple command and poof. (Unless PZ uses more complicated plugins)
 
Or actually we could do that one thing where your name in tab is completely unseen. And don’t know anyone’s name. Like in that one place.

If you guys know where exactly this is from then you know what I mean. :cool:

I think we should try and keep it close to how the the server is now, just with a few changes. And that would be the joke. :3
 
Why don't we just do something like this?
VIP - PIV
VIP+ - +PIV
Elite - ETILE
E+ - +E
etc.

Since defaults don't actually have a rank, we could maybe make the square thingy (next to their ign) a different colour?

That's a great idea!

(Is there a way to reverse usernames for everyone in the server?)
 
The server should be called FartyZone for that day xD
