I think people have tried after a month but have had no luck. I suppose you have to just help on the server and get them to notice that you are worthy for the role if you really think you are fit for it. If they see you are doing a good job and think you would help the server, then they might add you, I guess?
Besides, you don't have to be a helper/mod to help out. You just have to have the abilities to know right from wrong. c:
(I did write that on another post, but since it was familiar to this one, I thought I would post it here aswell).

Basically, no you can't. Maybe in future gigo will change it so that you can, but for now you can't.

There will be no 'Pre Helpers' as far as I've been told. Helpers already have limited powers, if we had Pre-Helpers then what would they do? Just do verbal warnings and act like a regular player still?

You can only ever submit one helper application. If it is denied, you will not be able to submit a new application.

If you ask a staff member to look at your application, your application will be denied.

Disputing the decision made on your application may result in a ban.

All of the players are pretty much pre-helpers, unless of course they are the one causing the trouble. As long as you are stopping a rude/hacking player and preventing actions the server does not appreciate, you are already helping the server. The only abilities you dont have is kick/mute/warn/ban(mods) etc. All you have to do is get proof and report the player. So what's the point in adding pre helpers when we basically already have them? Just my opinion.
