I was wondering if someone has a Nintendo Switch to play online with each other.

They still use friend codes?
Back in 2006, I was playing the Wii and there was friend codes.
So old fashioned.

The Playstation is only alive today because of Nintendo, however, if you're saying Nintendo can only make trash, I agree.
Just look at any of the Mario games.
 
If I'm honest, Nintendo can't compete.
Just to put that into perspective, they still use friend codes which were used a decade ago.

On the Wii U both players needed to know their Nintendo Network ID to friend them.
The Nintendo Switch also has a other way to friend peoples that has a Nintendo Switch.

The First option to add friends *Was already shown in one of the comments and one of the most used ways*
The Friendcodes ofcourse you still have to type numbers

The Second option to add friends
When you go to add friends there is a option that is using local communications.
*Kinda works the same way with DownloadPlay from the 3DS*

The Third option to add friends
3DS friend list *Still uses friend codes and also Local communications*
Players that has the app Miitomo *Where you just sent an invite to friend the person.*
and the Wii U

The Fourth option to add friends
When you play Online you might see a person in game that you want to friend by going to your profile and looking at players that has played with you Online.​
