I would just like to thank you A LOT for nominating Sophie xD I've been waiting agggesss for someone to nominate her haha!
It's great to see that so many of you are actually doing the challenge after being nominated, but please don't forget the entire reason of this challenge in the first place. If you have done the challenge, it would be great if you could still donate $10 to the cause if you haven't already. Every little helps because ALS currently has absolutely no effective treatment or cure, only drugs which will help slow down the process which means that once you have it, there's no going back.
I could imagine nothing worse than slowly losing control of every single muscle in your body, but still being able to feel them. Give this video a watch, bearing in mind that each stage he describes can last several months.
Donating will not only help people with the disease to get the support they need, it will also help boost the research effort into finding effective treatment and a cure. It is certainly well worth your money.
For those of you who have refused to do the challenge, I understand that the most likely reason is that you are shy or you just don't want to show your face. I hope that all of you who have refused have at least donated some money towards the ALSA, even if it's only a little - I realize that $100 is a lot to ask for from some people.
