Confirmed Allow players to toggle emotes.

I know this just came out, but the spam is horrible in chat, it's full of emotes.

I propose that give players a command to toggle the view of these emotes, similar to /ignore.

It’s honestly awful, the devs are giving us new commands with no way to toggle. They apparently have priorities, but they give us these commands that are unfinished and leave us with the problem.

Staff do not listen.
 
I honestly think its bad they're now releasing half done stuff. First plot merge has no back, then creatives going all wack with the /plot add and such and now they add in emotes with no toggle of. Why are they suddenly being lazy? And like surely half done commands will glitch creative more then full ones with a /undo or /toggle off

I agree, this would just allow players who don't want to see emotes toggle them.

Command Breaking:
When the mods released the new plot stuff (buying plots merging plots) they broke multiple things. These include certain W/E commands such as //brush for E+ and there is no reverse for what you do. The Plot buying is also broken, seeing as in the store you have to click multiple things for the tab to appear and you often to not receive your purchase.
Unfinished:
As you may know, Plot merge is unfinished. But this /em command is also unfinished. as well as the so called "goodie bags" and "candies" that where to be added months ago! the /em command has emotes that need to be unlocked, but how exactly does one unlock them?
No "off" switch
as you may know, seeing as this was suggested, there is no toggle for it. These appear in RP chats and Public chats, spam (even with the cooldown) and are annoying to deal with.
No Warning
No one was even told the emotes would happen, we didn't even suggest it! so why was it added in the first place?

I do agree, but let's be honest.

It's been out for a day - soooo...
Just let it warm up,
If it doesn't die down within like 3-4 days then toggle would be good,
just let it sink in a bit.
 
To most of the people above, instead of ranting about how the staff are releasing unfinished commands. You've got to understand that the dev team are most likely working on these issues and some are probably fixed, they're just waiting for all of them to be fixed so that they can do one large restart. Yes, there are a few bugs and we've all acknowledged that, but all you need to do is report it and wait. There will always be bugs and things will always break but the devs will fix it eventually. I imagine they've got a lot on their plates regarding purchasing plots and plot merging. To be honest a broken w/e command is gonna be the last of their priorities right now.

As for the actual suggestion, I'd agree. I haven't logged on recently to see this in action however I do imagine that it'd get quite spammy and annoying. +1

Guys. Its been out for ONE day like Aesthetic_x said. Deal with it. Or you can turn off ur chat. I don't see why you guys make such a big deal out of it. I get you want to toggle them off. But the Devs just added something new. So just wait a week or days. -_-

1. The Devs might want to add something new for players
2. Just deal with it? Not that hard is it?
3. They are not unfinished. They just need to add some things to make it better so your wrong on that.

1.The emotes are for ranks so its just like a "GIVE US OUR MONEY FOR COOL PERKS".
2. Its hard to deal with when the text is a bright YELLOW and sometimes always flooding the chat, you can't hide it from rp chat so its basically like "turn off the whole chat and be silent" and you can't deal with it when its annoying you can it.
3.They are unfinished,"adding somethings to make it better" is not what they need to do, they need to add a back/toggle off.

We're saying its just need a toggle and if we can't RANT in a SUGGESTION, where should we rant and say "hey this isn't working".


I do get where you are coming from but you must realise these are not good commands at the moment. A lot of things are unfinished of pzs and unfinished things can cause bugs on their own

Yes, but some people might not w a n t to see them, plus nobody suggested them in the first place. I can see both sides of the argument, but surely with new commands comes a way to undo them

Thats kinda what I implied, ranks gain more perks in order to seem more, like fun, to new players or even just defaults.

But yeah I also see that some ranks are under-perked *cough*vip*cough*

VIP is infact not underperked.
The reason it looks that way- is because half of its commands aren’t used as players usually spend time on creative.
The other reason they actually look underperked is because right now, VIP+ have the most notable commands. This was done because very few people were purchasing VIP+.
In the grand scheme of perks, VIP has more perks than VIP+ as a starter. VIP+ has just “bigger” added perks that more people notice. It only hasn’t 5 added proper perks. Currently it’s become more balanced though, but has also imbalanced elite, which only has two notable perks- world edit and elite survival. Overall, this is trying to be spread out, but may take some time.

Though, back to the suggestion- I do agree we should have toggle implemented for as long as it’s this active. It’s quite aggravating to see being spammed in chat the second peoples cool down finishes.

if they where going to add stuff new, why have they not finished promised things such as goodie bags, which has been promised for months? Also the suggestion is not about it being unfinished, it is about a toggle command, so you either vote 1+ or 1- on the command in question, not its current state. Also it is unfinished seeing as some are locked and there is no way to get to them, that is not something to "make it better".

First off, we do our best to get things out and working. I’m sure you all know that in the past month or so we have lost 3 devs. Things are stretched thin. /plot commands were just fixed today and we are working on the W/E commands. Plot buying is new, so expect it to be a bit buggy until fixed and if you don’t receive a purchase, tell us! We want to have happy customers. Plot merge is actually not unfinished, or so I’m told. If you are referring to plots not unmerging when one of the two is disposed, that is intended as of now. In the future there will most likely be something that does that, but at this point in time, just have a MOD unmerge plots and if you own the plots, there is nothing preventing you from unmerging them yourself before you dispose of them. Sure it takes time, but it’s polite to the next person who claims the plot. As for goodie bags, it has been stressed they have not been released and one of the devs working the goodie bags has left the dev team. It hasn’t even been a day for the emotes. We can’t predict the community’s reaction, which is why Aminuh creates this thread. To change something the community wants changed. Someone in Insights suggested emotes, I believe and we don’t always have to tell you all until the release. Sometimes we like to make things a surprise.

I understand that you all might have problems with the way things are for creative and perhaps the server right now, but we need your feedback. If you just harbor your thoughts then we can’t make your thoughts reality. The whole reason /plot add was just fixed was because no one had told the devs when it was previously down, which was a bit of everyone’s fault. If you want things a certain way, tell us! We most likely won’t see what you have to say in a suggestion thread that is related to the topic of emotes. I am truly sorry if you feel let down by the current state of things, but help us fix that! Being this stuff to our attention! Besides that, let’s try to keep this thread on the topic of emotes and the toggle for them.

Regarding the suggestion, I’m sure it will be put in place soon based on the community’s reaction. Like the marry command, emotes will probably die down. Regardless, +1 <3

Here's what we'll do; we'll look into this in about a week. I think right now they're being spammed because people are like "ooh lookie emotes let's play around with them!" -- in a week or so the hype around them won't be as much so they won't get spammed as much. If by then it doesn't look like the spam's going away, we'll for sure look into this.
