Hello, I have finally finished Chapter 1 due to personal reasons holding me back. I will from now on post all the chapters in this thread, so be sure to check it out from time to time!
'It's funny how a person's absence can give you hope.' Etgar thought to himself as he watched the police drag Principal Ando out of his office. "No, you have to believe me, I'm innocent!" Ando yelled while trying to fight back. "That's what they all say.." Mumbled a policeman and shoved the Principal inside the car. Etgar and his classmates all stared at the red and blue lights, flashing in their eyes. It was quiet, but the silence broke due to the policeman turning the engine on and driving away. "What the hell just happened?" asked Sorrel, "Why did the police arrest Principal Ando and who's going to run the school now?" Sorrel looked at Azure, trying to get answers from her. "Zuru?" She whispered while grabbing Azure's arm. Azure cleared her throat and stared at Sorrel. "Well," She mumbled, "I have no clue why they took him, but I do know that Mrs. Perry will be in charge since she's second in command." Mrs. Perry walked outside the school building. "Miss Drops is correct, I am now in charge while the Principal is.. absent." She said in a calm voice. "Aren't you going to tell us what happened to the Principal?" Sorrel asked while walking towards the adult. "I'm going to be honest, I have no clue what happened, but so far what I've seen, it can't be good. I suggest you all head home and get some rest for tomorrow." She advised them. While the students walked to their homes, Etgar sat on the parking lot. Staring at the tire tracks from the police car. "What was the real reason, why he got arrested?" He thought out loud. "Seems like a mystery, huh?" A voice laughed. Etgar turned around to see Ariana standing behind him. "Oh, it's you." He mumbled while standing up. "Of course it's me, we were supposed to walk home, together." She said while grabbing her school bag. "Together?" Asked Etgar with a confused look on his face. "Well, yeah. We are neighbors after all." Ariana laughed while exiting the school gates, "You coming?" She asked. Etgar stared at the tire tracks then at Ariana. "Yeah," He mumbled while jogging towards her.
