I agree with most of your points, but the whole 'fighting other players because staff isnt there' thing is only really a select amount of players. All the others try to stop it normally, but there are usually a few who take it too far.

At one point, the server's main source of players was murder. Then they shut it down. To fix it, presumably, but it was shut for a LONG time. I mean long enough for player counts to decline rapidly. An update, cool; but the update wasn't really worth it considering the amount of players lost...
