When you are a helper are you still able to play games and stuff or is it sitting in spawn the entire time? And is there like a rule book for helpers or something? Just wondering

As a helper, you're pretty much exactly the same as a regular player, you just have to put their needs before yours. You can still play games and have fun, but if for example there is no staff in lobby, it's preferable for you to stay and help. You can choose not to, but that wouldn't be a very helper-y thing to do.
There is no clear instructions or rules, it's mostly common sense and knowledge from past experiences. If you don't know what you're supposed to do as helper, you probably shouldn't apply.

This. I cannot agree more.
Helper is a responsibility, not a rank. Take note of how staff members act and try to figure out the best way to handle certain situations.
You shouldn't want to get helper because it's the next logical rank to achieve after getting VIP, you should do it because you genuinely think the server deserves to grow, and you want to help it get there.
I don't think that if you're Helper you're not supposed to play games and have fun, thats why the server is created, but if you're Helper you also have to take responsibility of some things like helping people and giving them the answer they were looking for. But the Helper rank is not stopping you from playing games, it would even be good to play some games cause maybe you find a bug and you report it once and for all.
So far, I think around 5 or less people got helper without VIP... (Out of approx 30 helpers)

I'm not saying they made a bad decision. I meant the opposite. You guys deserve it. But as long as we're all advancing this server, it doesn't matter much what rank we are. (Tried to say that in a good way even though that's technically false.)
A good thing to do when you are not sure is ask a more experienced staff membermember

And what you said is 100% true, but we don't "mostly stay in lobby", we stay where we are need/where there are the mosy people (lobbies, creative, crowded murder games...).

And I hope I can get to be a helper because that's honestly what I love doing I spend a lot of my time in the lobby helping (and play murderer because ya know no one can resist that unique game) I just love helping!
