Save The Elite Survival World!

Should the current Elite Survival World be kept or reset?

Hello everyone (mainly for Elites and E+ members but any ranks below can join in),

Over the last few months, there's been a report that Elite Survival will be reset and that the world will be reset completely as part of 1.13 works.

Now, I'm not a fan of change but the world has always been my home and many others as well. People have been creating towns and villages, made new achievements and reached really high skill levels.

This world is a community to all the Elites and E+ members.
Who agrees that the Elite Survival world currently should stay? I do

(I know many won't)

If the world was to be reset, then it's ok but I still think the skill levels and the stuff in the chests from the previous world should be saved as it's a lot of hard work to get back :(

It should stay! I have too many memories,too many builds and achievements. Just for them to disappear would not work out with me.
They either figure out a way to have 1.13 and still have a way to keep everything or they shouldn't touch it. :(:p<3
Edit To PrqyForTheWicked: I mean i'd love to play in 1.13 the only single thing in my way is all my
progress will be gone, so ya got to look at it from other players perspectives. :)

Personally, I want it to stay. I've done a lot of hard work on the ES and spent a lot of time, I do not appreciate it all going completely to waste.

I don't even see many people on, so I don't feel like many people should comment if they're not involved or associated with it either way, unless they have a good reason.

In my eyes, a reset is just pointless. I'd suggest staff worry about other issues like bugs throughout creative and murder which are the only vastly populated areas of the network. In fact, there's still a bug that I've reported before last year that is still not fixed and it doesn't look like a hard one to fix.

Why can't there just be two survival words or something then? The server has areas of the network that are very rarely used. In that case, you could turn one of those unused servers into another survival world if you're that desperate to reset it.

The problem with this is that it is practically impossible for new ES members to join, set up, find resources, etc. because the world is the same. A reset has been highly request for months now. Reset or not, there will always be someone who is unhappy - but it seems (at least, from what I've seen) that the majority of Elite(+)s want a reset.
Edit: Like Nerdehhh said below, many players have been griefed beyond repair. New anti-grief plugins could be added to prevent future griefs, but what's the point of adding anti-grief plugins for an already griefed world?

I only voted reset because (as said by others) many of the past players were greifed. This can also have something to do with lack of resources, as elite survival supports a large community. (Or I think? I haven't been on in a bit aksj)
 
A thread I saw a LONG time ago suggested something along the lines of Elite Survival 2.0

Where we keep the E.S we have now. And then a new E.S thats 1.13 so we can have both a reset, while keeping our builds and stats on E.S 1.0

Anything like that would work perfectly! It means that players don't have to lose their stats as well. I agree with this comment

i put a lot of effort into my ES world (my home, time taken to move from my main base and start creating a town/village TWICE just for fun, setting spawnpoints and mob grinders up, mining for whole days at a time, etc. etc.)

while im not as active as i once was, i still like to see the hard work i've put into creating my world and seeing what most of my teen years (14-16) were spent doing and having fun with friends. i would be pretty sad to see the server completely wiped, though i do understand the struggle.

on one hand, you have all the older, more nostalgic members and those who are still active in ES. they want to keep all the stuff they've worked hard to build and get, but on the other hand you have all the newer members who have a rough time getting started because everything has been absolutely picked clean, and it takes hours to find a safe area to start building up, and creating two whole worlds just for ES, which isnt even that popular right now from what i've heard would just be a costly waste.

there's no answer that would please everyone and make everything perfect.
 
While I rarely play on the server (around once ever 2-3 months) I still believe that survival should not be reset. Simply because of the nostalgic reasons.. Whenever I decide to play, I always end up going to the areas where I had a lot of good memories, so it's nice to have Survival too.

I don't really like the idea of having a survival 2.0 because I don't really see a point in it but if that's the route you guys wanna go then I don't mind :)
