Sayda was a beautiful planet, in a solar system near to Earth’s. Crimson and amber skies, the indigo from the Sayden sun bleeding into the horizon.
Aqua oceans, with magnificent creatures swimming through, and incredible, picturesque landscapes. Hundreds of mountains and volcanoes dotted around the planet. It was only a sixth of Earth’s size, but it was the biggest in its solar system.
The carnival strode through the main road of Purity, the Sayden capital. Thousands of people crowded on the sidewalks, in front of the towering skyscrapers made of multicoloured metals.
Marching people in red and gold suits, black sticks in their hands, spinning them around in their white gloved hands, strode ahead of several huge floats. One float was a large black square, with cages filled with dangerous animals.
The animals on Sayden are not similar to Earth’s in any way. In one silver cage was a monkey like creature, with grey fur, glowing yellow eyes, and spikes on the elbows, shoulders, cheeks, and knees. Their nails stretched out two inches.
There were many other dangerous animals, but suddenly the floats all stopped, along with the marching people. A child, standing next to 2 other kids, and their parents, looked up at the sky.
The child was about 6 years old, their two siblings a bit older than them.
“Alex, come on!” shouted the mother, as she grabbed them all and sprinted off. Crimson red, amber and yellow glowed in the sky, an enormous brown splodge blocking out the indigo sun, casting a shadow over the planet, getting larger by the second.
Alex Silver got to where they were all running. His mother, older sister and older brother stayed back, but his father ushered him forward. The brown splodge had turned into a huge rock in the sky.
“Alex… you’ve got to get away. You’re special,” he whispered, before leading him up a ramp, leading to a gigantic oval spaceship, white metal, glowing green lights pulsing down the sides.
Alex walked into the spaceship and the ramp started to ascend, closing the door. He looked at his family for one last time, tears in his eyes, and then the door closed.
He looked around. It was pretty empty, a white room with some green stripes wrapping around the room. There were 6 other kids in the room, all the same ages.
There were 2 other boys in the room. One had short brown hair, tanned skin, green eyes, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and red shoes. The other had messy black hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, and wore a yellow shirt, brown shorts and green sandals.
The other 4 were girls. Alex was gonna observe, but a man in a blue suit came out from the cockpit.
“Okay kids,” he told them, before picking up a black chest, “take one of these.” Inside were 7 amulets. On the chains were coloured stones, one for every colour of the rainbow.
One girl took the red amulet, one the orange one, one the yellow, and one the green. The brown haired boy took the blue amulet. The black haired boy took the indigo one, and Alex took the violet one.
They all put them on, and looked out the window when a huge crash occurred over the loud roar of the engines and the pulsing of the lights. Flame devoured the planet as the huge meteorite struck Sayda.
The boy with the brown hair stood next to Alex, a tear dripping down his cheek. The black haired boy just walked away, his head low.
Alex turned at the man in the blue suit as the man pulled out a rainbow coloured tablet of crystal and pressed his hand on it. After 2 seconds, Alex’s vision faded to black.

A black corridor. A void, nothing anywhere. He darted through, terrified. It was coming. The beast, with hefty horns and grey skin, fell before him, its eyes bloodshot.
Its 3 inch claws swiped. He knew it was over…
“Wake up, Caid!” a voice cried gently. His eyes snapped open. He saw his mother’s face above him. She had short, ginger hair and storm grey eyes.
“You were talking in your sleep, did you have a nightmare?” she asked him as he got up.
“Um… vaguely,” he responded, “Well, gotta get ready for school!”
“Melissa!” shouted his father from downstairs.
She replied: “Yes, dear?” And went downstairs. Caid did his morning routine, got up, got dressed and ate breakfast. He was putting his stuff into a bag when there was a knock on the door.
He put the fork on his empty plate, which once had scrambled eggs on it, and opened the door.
Outside were two people. One was about 5’10, a lanky figure. He had an undercut of brown hair, tanned skin dotted with a few scars, and evergreen eyes piercing the air. His features were smooth, but his nose was slightly crooked. He wore a black shirt, grey jacket and blue jeans.
The other was a woman, with pale skin, and black hair. They wore all black clothes, and a black hat with the word HATE on it in grey writing. She wore shades so nobody could see her eyes.
“Hunter, Asuka, you’re late,” Caid said, before picking his bag up and yelling: “Okay, I’m going!”
He shut the door and the three walked away.
“I had a nightmare recently… some sort of beast. Big horns, grey skin, long nails…” Caid told them, as Caid put his hand on Hunter’s shoulder. Asuka did the same, and in the blink of an eye, they appeared in the forest.
Old Griffin, Ohio, was not the biggest town, a population of about 500. It had loads of shops, 3 apartment blocks, an elementary school, a middle school and a high school. It had a library, a small mall, and a college.
Next to the high school was the Old Griffin Forest. It was quite vast, with colossal ash trees.
“I had the same dream…” said Hunter.
“Me too…” replied Asuka, who looked at her amulet. Red. Hunter’s was blue. They were brighter than usual, because three of the amulets were together.
“Anyway, college?” Asuka requested hastily, and her & Hunter disappeared, the air slightly being thrown back.

Rain Halligan put her bag in her locker. She was about 5’7, with pale & smooth skin dotted with freckles. She had grey eyes that matched with the dyed ends of her wavy, hip-length, dark brown hair. She was wearing light blue jeans, brown boots, and a navy sweater.
Rain took the yellow amulet that was tucked down her sweater and stared at it. It was faintly bright, so one of them must have been at the school, and she knew who it was.
A girl with pale skin dotted with scars, she had almond shaped, silver eyes, and long black hair down to her lower back. She stood at 5’1, wearing a black sweater, grey shirt, white converse, red socks, and grey jeans. Her amulet, orange, hung out in the open.
“Hi, Cas!” Rain said, closing her locker. Castillo Embers nodded and glanced around.
“Where’s Alex?” Cas questioned curiously.
Rain swivelled and looked. “No idea, maybe he’s with Caid.”
Caid suddenly strolled through the hall doors. A guy leaning against his locker in a red jacket shouted: “Hey Arcade! Got any quarters left?” Everybody around the guy snickered.
The boy was cut off laughing as Caid used his superior strength to slam his head into his open locker.
“Hey Caid, where’s Alex?” Rain asked as Caid strode towards them. He shrugged then peered around.
“There,” Caid told them. Alex pushed the doors open. He wore a red jacket, black jeans, and grey shoes. He had fringed, blonde hair and blue eyes.
Everybody next to the guy who was laughing at Caid stopped talking.
Alex had built himself a reputation so nobody would bother him by beating the captain of the football team, who used to be the strongest and fastest in the school, in a fight. He had done this because all Saydens are naturally faster and stronger than humans, even without those Spiritlines,
Alex strolled past the three Saydens and walked into his class.
“Let’s go to class…” suggested Cas, and Caid and Rain nodded.
~~~~~
Asuka walked into the college library. It was a vast collection of books, neatly arranged into different sections. They had 3 tables, each with two computers on them, which were all currently occupied.
A girl was flicking through a book about 12 feet in front of her. They had tan skin, dark brown hair and light grey eyes. They stood around 5’6, and had a tattoo of a small owl on their right wrist.
She wore black leggings, sneakers, and a light blue shirt.
“You’re late,” Luna told Asuka without looking up.
“Well, I’m sorry if I can’t teleport…” Asuka replied quietly.
“Any activity?” Luna asked, finally putting her book down.
Asuka replied: “Well, me, Caid and Hunter had the same dream… it was about a-”
“A beast with grey skin, big horns, huge nails? Black corridor?” Luna rudely interrupted.
“Yup. Same dream?” questioned Asuka. Luna nodded.
“Cas did as well. No idea about Rain or Alex.”
Asuka looked at Luna’s green amulet and shrugged.
~~~~~
After his first class, Alex started feeling weird. Queasy, nauseous. A stranger note was how he got headaches near tech that disappeared when he moved away.
Alex took out his phone and called Hunter, who appeared outside the school and teleported him on top of a large hill.
“New spiritline, I think…” Alex said, his stomach gurgling.
“Which one?” Hunter replied.
“Cyber… I think.”

The person wearing all black, including a mask, walked through the Old Griffin Forest. It was during a heavy shower, raindrops crashing onto the ground every moment.
The figure walked out onto a dark clearing and picked up some wet sticks. After he had placed them in a circle, he pulled out a lighter with a black pentagram on its side.
Magenta fire came out of it as the figure crouched down and touched the tip to a stick.
The circle of sticks blazed in magenta fire, and the figure disappeared when he stepped into the circle.
They appeared in front of a huge, black, lifeless door. It was built into the face of a cliff made of red & black rock, which matched the entire land.
The door dissolved into the cliff, and the figure sauntered through. They strode through the lifeless, void-like corridor. They entered a humongous room with a glowing white table in the middle.
A being, in a red and white cloak, stood at the table, with illuminated green eyes and blue skin.
“Okay, let’s get down to business…” the cloaked figure told them.
Its 3 inch claws swiped. He knew it was over…

Alex ran across the field, the football in his hand. He dodged a player on the other team effortlessly and got to the edge of the field, scoring.
The game ended. The scores were light years apart, with Alex’s team winning. Caid was on his team, and scored half of it, Alex scoring the other half.
Rain and Cas sat on the bleachers, as at Old Griffin High School girls did separate sports during sports, which was unfair.
“Suck it, Matthew,” Caid told Matthew, the football player.
They both laughed and strode away to class. They were about to go into the corridor when they were both wrenched to the side of the school. Standing there was about 5 guys, Matthew joining them.
They were all quite brawny, and they looked angry.
“This is what you get, kids,” he yelled violently, before all 6 guys came at them, but they had no chance.
One player swung a fist quick, but Alex swiftly ducked under it and spun his leg in a circle. The attacker was scythed to the ground, as Alex leapt up and hit another player in the jaw, knocking him back.
Caid hit one in the chest, before spinning and elbowing another. He then proceeded to speedily jump up and kick out at the 5th guy.
Alex and Caid were thrown back at the wall by Matthew. Caid grabbed a pipe above him, as did Alex, and they both pushed off the wall with their legs.
Caid landed, and dodged another punch effortlessly, and Alex punched him in the nose, blood slowly trickling out from it. Matthew ran off, as did the other 5, and the two Saydens went into class.

“Hey, Luna…” Asuka asked curiously, then their eyes turned back to the computer screen. They were in the library again, after their lunch, and were studying.
Asuka sat at the computer, the 3 seats to her left empty.
“What?” she replied, putting a cyan book scattered with gold along the spine back into the shelf.
“On the news… some guy was spotted in 6 different states. Washington, Arkansas, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania & Maine,” she told Luna.
“Okay? How is that so important?” Luna snapped.
“They were spotted in each state in the span of 30 minutes.”
“That’s… impossible.”
“Not for us. Maybe they’re… one of us…” Asuka whispered. Luna’s eyes widened in fear.
“That’s… no. It can’t have happened. Only us 7 were brought here, and the ship driver died in a bomb attack east of Venezuela…” Luna replied, before rushing off. She stopped as her her amulet began to glow brighter than it even could.
Asuka looked down at her amulet, and it was the same. They both turned their heads… and saw them.
The figure, all in black, stood there, a katana in their hand, silver handle and a blood-red blade. Asuka sprinted away, clutching Luna’s shoulder as they vanished.
They appeared on a dry, steep cliff, streams of water quickly trickling down. They caught their breath quickly, but a thud could be heard from behind them. The figure stood, there, motionless, red mist around them but slowly dissolving.
He jumped forward, but Asuka splayed their hand and telekinetically threw them at the wall, then both girls proceeded to blast ice at them.
Water dropped onto the floor as the figure broke free from the frozen cell, its body radiating with heat. The figure fired glowing beams from their eyes, and Asuka grabbed Luna’s arm, both of them dodging the blast at super fast speed.
Luna and Asuka stopped next to the figure and punched him. The figure curved in a red blur and swung their katana fast. A slice could be heard, and Luna dropped to the ground, blood seeping out of their shirt.
Asuka sped around them and used their telekinesis to throw them off the cliff. Before the figure disappeared from view, the same red mist appeared in the air, and they disappeared.

The sky was inching its way towards a grey dusk as Hunter got to his apartment. It was quite miniscule, with only 3 rooms, and it was on the 3rd floor.
He took out his silver jangling keys, pushing a keyring of a lion out of the way, and opened his door. His head was low, and he placed his keys on the table, then hung up his coat.
He raised his head. Sitting there, on the armchair next to his clean, blue sofa, was a person.
They had blue and red hair, green eyes, and tanned skin, practically bright orange. Their ears were quite small, looking like an 11 year old’s ears, and had a mouth curved into a smirk.
They were wearing brown, mucky boots and black jeans, casually put on. Their jacket was black, except for a red spiral in the centre with the letters DS in a crimson colour.
“Hello, Hunter,” the boy told them, in a New Jersey accent. They were about 5’10, and looked around the same age as Hunter, 22.
“What are you doing here?” Hunter questioned faintly, trying to not arouse attention from the neighbours. He had a look of hatred and fear on his face.
“I need to tell you something,” the adult said back, before getting up quickly, “I hear you’ve been having some dream problems…”
“Yeah, so?” Hunter snapped back.
“Me and my corporation have some intelligence for you,” they replied, “but… you’ll owe us a favour for later…”
“I’m not cutting a deal with Demon Strike after you screwed me over last time…”
“The death of Miss Armstrong had a military purpose…”
“That doesn’t justify a murder!”
“Well… if you change your mind, call me,” the boy said, before handing him a plain, grey piece of card with a phone number written in a bold mint green.
The boy with the blue and red hair walked out the front door and then closed it, before getting into a silver car and driving away.
Hunter, for a second, considered his offer, before tearing the idea in half. Suddenly, the door whooshed open by a blur, and Asuka crashed into the sofa, Luna in her arms.
“Help!” Asuka cried, before wiping some blood off Luna’s shirt. Hunter’s eyes widened in fear.

The figure with the katana stood next to the being in the red and white cloak. Electricity hastily crackled all around the dark, eerie chamber. A metal sphere was suspended in midair, electricity bouncing off of it.
The robed figure flicked switches, turned dials, pulled levers and pressed buttons on a glowing control panel, connected to an engine-like box hung in midair by wires and cables.
A flash illuminated the chamber for a few seconds, before dissolving leisurely into the sphere. The metal ball in the centre of the room suddenly opened on the bottom, and a beast dropped down.
A clank echoed through the room as it landed on the dark, metal floor. It had grey skin, long nails, blood-red eyes and huge, hefty horns.
“It’s time…” the robed figure sonorously cackled.
The game ended. The scores were light years apart, with Alex’s team winning. Caid was on his team, and scored half of it, Alex scoring the other half.
