You know how people say that punishments are too harsh, and the appeal system is broken? Well, calming down punishments already got denied, so I'm suggesting we revamp the appeal system. This way, we can still have the rule-breakers get punished, but the innocent people can get their punishment revoked. However...
The appeal system might not need fixing. So, in order to find out if the appeal system is actually broken, I suggest the staff team conduct a survey, an anonymous one so that the people don't get exposed if we get hacked (I'm not saying we would though). There will of course be measures to detect the people who are faking getting denied for no reason/accepted. After the survey has been completed, the staff team will put the data into a statistic, and then show us the statistic if it says that appeals are working fine.
Now, say the statistic says that appeals AREN'T working fine. Then here are a couple of ideas to make our appeal system better:
1. Scale how much proof you need depending on punishment type and punishment severity.
For example: Basically anything chat related, 1 screenshot that has been proved to be non-edited, Hacking:, video of hacker that contains them doing the hack, Greifing: Video of greifer/Staff's thing (idk what it's called) saying that the player destroyed these blocks, ect.
2. Allow players to provide counter-evidence
This will also be on a scale, but probably on a lesser extent. For example, anything chat related, evidence that the shots were photoshopped, hacking/greifing, video of the same gameplay session from the player's perspective without using f2 (for hacking), ect.
That about finishes the thread up, I have said everything I wanted to say, so goodbye. (That was a very unprofessional ending)
