What are Avatar frames?
Avatar frames are a simple design around your forum's profile picture.

The idea
I'm proposing we implement avatar frames for the highest paying donor rank which is currently Elite+ and up, meaning Hipster, builder, & staff would receive a avatar frame corresponding to their rank color
Ex: Elite+'s avatar frame would be a ORANGE or a YELLOW
Hipster's frame would be PINK
Builder's would be their BLUE
This would also be for staff, but I'm sure you get the picture now.

Why?:
I think it'd be a fun and new donor perk. This avatar frame does not come with extra features on the forums, it'd just be a visual perk for those who paid the significant amount of money you spent for your rank on the network.
It's a way to sort of "show off"

This'd be nice, but I feel if we lower it to any rank it should be Elite. I think VIP+ already has a lot more perks than it did before, and this is a fairly big perk that I feel should go to a higher rank, especially one that doesn't have as many perks. Otherwise love the suggestion.

You know I just looked at the dev updates today, wowza we got a lot of stuff...

Anyways maybe in the future a vip or vip+ implementation for this, Even though most forum users have a rank (the ones who are active and post). The only reason I though it should be lower because no one would geneually purchase a rank , the best rank, because of this so lowering it to vip+ seemed like a good idea at the time.

I love this idea, it's really creative and I'm glad you suggested this!

I'm going to have to agree with @Catten, I think it should be an Elite and Elite+ perk only because I feel like for the amount that players pay for the rank they don't get many -if any- unique forum perks.

Though, if this happens to get implemented, I think there should be a standard frame for both Elite and Elite+.
What I mean by this is that Elite get their own frame with a panel that offers a range of colors, while Elite+ get their own frame different from Elites with a panel that offers a wider range of colors. *Just a suggestion & to clarify, perhaps more colors than Elite *

Overall, I like this idea a lot and I do hope it eventually gets implemented. +1 from me!

Not really, say previously you had gotten ranks. The rank discount applies, so technically you aren't spending the actual amount E+ costs.
Either way, actually, you pay a large sum of money, though.

We spent 120 dollars and elite just 80 so there is a lot of difference and it doesn't mater if u had a rank before E+ u still spent in total 120$.

I don't understand your first argument. Are you saying that if a player bought a rank before, then decided they would like to upgrade their rank with having the discount of buying the previous rank, they don't have to pay the full price? This is true, but with the entirety of the money they spent is equal to just buying it outright. The discount doesn't take more money off (say for example, VIP was $20 and VIP+ was $40. You're making it sound like if you bought the $20 VIP before, then instead of getting the $20 you paid for VIP off of the price of VIP+ (which is fair since you've already paid for half of it buying VIP) you get something like $25 off, which isn't what happens. All you get is the price you bought of the rank beforehand of of the rank you're buying now, it's not really a discount more of like "you already bought basically half of this, so what's the point in charging you full price for it when in reality we should just charge you half?"). Sorry that my logic doesn't sound great, just if you could expand on this point I might have better reasoning.

A lot of the E+ perks you listed are perks from the ranks before, the only major differences between Elite and E+ I see is a few more plots, more world edit commands, and the new perk to buy more plots. That gives nothing for those who don't play creative, apart from like one cosmetic which rarely anyone uses. Let's face it, Elite and Elite+ are both underperked, they have the same price difference compared to their former ($80 I believe) and yet they only have 2-3 substantial perks worth buying the rank- and nothing for forums users or non creative players (well, except for the Elite perk of ES). I wouldn't have bought the rank if I wasn't obsessed with creative.

VIP+ perks have improved admittedly, due to the recent work of the devs. There's a couple of things that could be added, but I feel it's time we move onto perks for Elites and Elite+s.

Yes, Elite is underperked, but Elite+ is too. Elite at least has the perk of ES for those who don't play creative (I've actually seen the PC of ES rise recently, I guess more people are using their perks). The major perks compared to the former of Elite are (IMO) as follows: More plots, world edit, ES. And I mean, there are other different ones, but they're rarely used. As for Elite+ compared to Elite, I feel it's: More plots, more world edit commands (which barely anyone aside from more experienced builders use), new perk to buy plots. Having the name in murder could be cool to some people but that's like a dollar to buy separately, and not all that many people want their name in murder. I feel Elite+ is more underperked than Elite actually, seeing as Elite has more substantial perks than E+. Of course, both ranks need more perks, but I feel this is a fairly substantial perk that could be given to Elite+ instead, so after reconsideration I'll be changing my opinion to that.

It doesn’t matter if you buy each rank separately, for example; upgrading from Elite to Elite+. The store automatically subtracts the amount you’ve paid for Elite, from the actual cost of Elite+, aka the difference, which you’ll pay. This meaning you will pay for the full cost of Elite+ (unless there’s a sale of course). There’s no difference from upgrading by each rank, or paying for it at once.

This would be super cute and I think it'll be a cool little extra for ELITE users and above.

My thought process going into this was that, the highest paying rank would receive this perk as a small “bonus”, similar to showing off the amount of money you paid. Yes both ranks are definitely underperked, and expensive, but for some reason I’d rather see this as an Elite+ perk. If the majority of the community decides that they’d like to see this as a perk for both, I’m totally cool with it.

As for the suggestion for the customizable option for the frame itself, I’m all about simplicity, I’d rather see it corresponding to the color of the rank. Again I’ll definitely add that into community suggestions/add ons!

I agree. I feel that yes, Elite and E+ have been underperked. So if both are underperked, maybe this should be an option for both, and then a small bonus (going along with @cat's idea here) option for E+ to customize their avatar frame?

ELITE+ is currently the top dog rank, meaning they have lots of major perks (name in murder, VERY top of the tab, plots, buy plots, more W/E commands, etc.) So all this, in my opinion, is pretty big and cool things you can get from just buying E+.

ELITE is currently in the state of being underperked.
When I mean underperked, I mean underperked.

ELITE+ is underperked slightly, and don't get me wrong, your getting the "good stuff" for lots of money. I don't really think there is a lot of good stuff that goes along with having E+ but ELITE is currently empty of the supposedly "lots of perks!" you get with the rank itself.

VIP+ and VIP have been completely worth buying for recently and a lot of my default friends have been getting those.
But I'm just saying, if Elite AND E+ can have this, that'd be great. Except E+ can customize the Avatar frame.

For example, they can;

• Add their own avatar frame design

-If they want to go to back to the original, they can have an option to reset it.

• Color it whatever color they'd like.

-This is if we have their favorite color to chose from, or if possible, we can add a color wheel option for them.

• Have a few READABLE fonts to chose from, but not to many.

-Like the fonts we have now, but excluding Courier New and Times New Roman because they stand out the most from the rest.

I'd just really like Elite to have this perk too, because honestly they are way more underperked than any current rank, E+ being second, of course. (Remember I'd like both to enjoy having lots of perks from buying either of these ranks.)

As for Elite+ compared to Elite, I feel it's: More plots, more world edit commands (which barely anyone aside from more experienced builders use), new perk to buy plots. Having the name in murder could be cool to some people but that's like a dollar to buy separately, and not all that many people want their name in murder. I feel Elite+ is more underperked than Elite actually, seeing as Elite has more substantial perks than E+.

One more to that list.... the map clue in murder. switching the switch is a ingame perk to elite+.

In the futute I am sure Elite+ will get its glory but Elite could use a little boost. We are still a bit of a toddler as a server. Right now we should focus on what is good for this perk, I agree to that it should be elite and e+ as well keeping it to the standard Gold as it could be a bit confusing if a elite's frame was Blue or a staff color.
