"Senpai!" Whisp's worried cries got louder and louder, her voice appeared shaken, as Max's eyes slowly opened.
"Oh boy.. Oh boy, I thought you were never gonna wake up." Niji was leaning over Max, smiling, as if relieved.
"..Niji? ...What's going on?"
Max was staring at the roof of the airport. Except that Max was now in the middle of the airport, in the group with everyone else - no one was missing. A couple people were still fast asleep, in neat lying positions on the floor. These people included Etsuko, Gray, Alexia, and Raven.
"Who's to bed Alexia's gonna get up and go 100 miles per hour, eh?" Luna laughed.
"We shouldn't be joking, Luna. Don't joke right now. We're in a predicament." Alteca sneered at Luna, who glared back.
"M-Maybe it's good to joke right now." Chiaro looked down at Etsuko, Alexia and Raven. "To get our spirits a bit higher.."
{Ignoring Chiaro} "And? All that you've managed to find out so far is that we've all got these matching wristbands now. What's it gonna do, kill us? Well? What's it gonna do?"
"I mean, there's writing on it." Alteca turned to face Luna. From Max's view, they could see faint red glowing lighting coming off of the wristband.
"f-fIvE mORe mInUTeS!!" Sora swiped at Luna's hand as she grabbed his collar.
"Writing, wow, is it gonna punch me?" Luna folded her arms. She waved Sora's limp, half-asleep body around.
"Give me a second. I'm working it out." Alteca turned back around and proceeded to read the wristband's writing more. "At the class trial, he said the new motive would be announced in two days."
"S-Senpai is waking up!" Whisp's face streamed tears as she fell on to Gray, who opened his eyes as if he had been awoken by ice-cold water.
"G-Get off of me..! S-Stop that..!" Whisp clung to Gray like the floor was lava. Gray sat up, with Etsuko lying next to him.
"C'mon. Alexia. Etsuko. You better wake up. Beat Raven to it. Come on." Kanna was sitting in front of Alexia and Etsuko, seemingly cheering for them.
"...They're still asleep?" Max began to get up.
"Luna was actually the first to wake up. She kicked me, then I woke up, I managed to get Alteca to wake up, and so on.. Some of them are still asleep." Niji helped Max on to their feet, as they looked over at the 3 girls who were still fast asleep.
"The gas knocked us out, right? Do you think there was gas in those suitcases all along?" Max looked over at the scattered remnants of the suitcases and bags.
"I honestly think he has a lot of things ready. Who knows? Maybe there's sharks under the pool. A bomb somewhere? Who knows. I think he's got this island and the central island scattered with motives, and he's just gonna pull one out every so often."
"..I-I'm never swimming in that pool again.." Kanna lowered her head.
"Same.." Chiaro joined in.
"Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudents! You're mostly awake now, soooooo.. Hiya!" Monokuma appeared from nowhere.
"H-Hiya!" Whisp rubbed her tears away.
"Goddamit, what'd you do to us now?" Gray struggled with Whisp to get her to let go of him.
"I simply made a few adjustments." Monokuma sliped on some glasses and pulled out a clipboard and pencil, hitting the pencil off of the clipboard while walking back and forth from the three girls. "Three.. I planned for two. Which one is just a heavy sleeper? Hmm.. I know which one it is."
Monokuma proceeded to peer over Etsuko's face. Whisp caught sight of this and turned her attention to Etsuko. She loosened her grip on Gray, and Gray turned from being blue (unable to breathe) to his normal skin tone.
Monokuma seemed to breathe in, and all of a sudden, he screamed in Etsuko's face;
"YOUR MANAGER GOT A BETTER ACTRESS! YOU'RE FIRED!"
"gYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Etsuko sat up, wide-eyed. "Etsuko can't be fired!" Etsuko began to cry.
"E-Etsuko, he just did that to wake you up, come on-" Chiaro grabbed Etsuko and hugged her.
"Alright. Two sleepy-heads now." Monokuma continued. The glasses, clipboard and pencil disappeared.
"Please cut to the chase. What's going on? What do you mean by all of this, 'two sleepy heads'?" Alteca squinted at Monokuma.
"Alright Alteca, I'll cut to the chase, little detective. Basically, all of those little friendship bracelets you all have on you right now are locked in. You can't pull them off, 'cause if you do..
It'll poison you!"
"P-Poison!?" Max took a step back.
"Poison.. Poison.. In this wristband? It'll kill us if we try to take it off? So what?" Luna shrugged. "All we gotta do is not try and take it off."
"Oh contraire, you need to look a bit deeper. There's a button on your wristband. Each of you have something that'll poison you if you complete that action. Now, let's take a look at these two over here.." Monokuma strutted over to Alexia and Raven, who were still asleep on the floor next to each other. "Two of you have a command on your wrist that involves these two sleepy-heads. Let's have an example.. If Raven is still alive in three days, Etsuko will be injected with poison. Havn't you, detective, noticed why these two are the only ones who wear wrist-bands without writing? Take a look." Monokuma pressed the small button on Alexia's wrist-band. The only thing that appeared was one word in the glowing-red writing; 'Victim'.
"Victim.. So the 'Victim's are Alexia and Raven." Alteca folded his arms.
"Th-That's... So you want us to complete motive crap based on them so that you can have some entertainment!? I'd rather die!" Luna pointed straight at Monokuma.
"But that just contradicts yourself. You'd rather die, so.. You'd be giving me entertainment either way." Monokuma shrugged.
"Alright. Leave. We're going to talk about this, bear. Leave." Alteca appeared enraged, he put a hand on his shoulder nervously.
"..Alteca, come on." Chiaro pulled at Alteca's clothing.
"Wow, fine, fine. Play easy, kids. Happy hunting." Monokuma disappeared.
"This is bad. Very bad. If this is going to seriously be a thing that happens, then guess what? We could all die for the sake of two lives. I want you all to press the button on your wrist-bands, and read it out." Alteca looked around at everyone. "I'll read mine first. We'll go in around."
Alteca pressed the button on his wrist-band, which lit up.
"I'm not allowed to sleep. This includes sleeping normally, napping, or passing out." Alteca sighed, before looking at Niji, who flinched slightly, and pressed the button on his wristband.
"Mine says I can't come in to contact with anyone. This excludes clothes. Only skin."
Niji took a step away from Max. Max read theirs;
"Raven cannot still be alive three days after the motive was announced... Wait, so.."
Max's eyes widened. Max was one of the two people who had a motive relating to Raven and Alexia. Kanna sat by Alexia still, holding Etsuko.
The next went as follows;
Gray's motive:
"Gray must hack a person's handbook every day."
Sora's motive:
"Sora must get on to lvl 20 of Pac-Man every day, and finish Snake every day."
Luna's motive:
"Luna cannot drink coffee."
Whisp's motive:
"Whisp must take a test every day. She must get an A-, A, or A+."
Etsuko's motive:
"Etsuko must wear pyjamas every day. Even to go out in."
Kanna's motive:
"Alexia cannot still be alive three days after the motive was announced."
Chiaro's motive:
"Chiaro cannot sleep in her own dorm."
"So.. The ones with the victim motives are Kanna and Max." Alteca rubbed his head.
Niji began to sweat. "But.." He took a step back from the group. "What are we going to do? This is a life for a life. It's either they live or they die."
"Th-This is messed up." Chiaro looked around at the group, and back at Alexia and Raven. "W-We should move them to a dorm..."
"I CAN'T DRINK COFFEE?! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"
"Etsuko likes pyjamas. This is OK. But.. Will friends be OK? Twin-girl?"
Whisp sweat nervously. "Test? Whisp doesn't like tests.. Whisp can't do tests.. A+.. tests.."
Sora sat up.
"I have to hack a handbook every day? It won't do much harm to them, so maybe it could be voluntary, but I can only hack them once.." Gray mumbled,
"ALL OF YOU! SHUT UP!" Alteca shouted.
"We shouldn't be worrying about all of that! We have four people who could die. Max, Kanna, Alexia, and Raven. I'm guessing this all ends.. When one of us dies."
