As soon as Max got back to their room, they lay on their bed.
Everything clouded their judgement. There was everything at stake, and everything was being thought about.
Under the cover of darkness, Everyone eventually fell asleep.
*Knock knock knock*
"Max? Are you awake?"
*Knock knock knock*
"Maaaaaax?"
"C-Coming.. Coming.." Max limply got out of bed. It was so comfy. The bed was like lying on a million feathers. Max eventually got to the door, where they opened it to find Alteca.
"Did I wake you up...? Sorry.." Alteca smiled.
"No.. No.. It's fine, don't worry about it.." Max rubbed their eyes.
"Well.. If it's not too much bother, We've all agreed to meet at the resteraunt after every morning announcement. I thought Niji might have told you, but I don't think he did.." Alteca rubs the back of his head, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Oh.. Don't worry about it, I'll come.. Give me about... ten minutes, maybe?"
"Ok! I'll see you there then!"
Max pulled a sweater over their shirt and changed from the trousers they wore to sleep in to clean ones.. They looked identical, nontheless.
Max left their cottage.
Down the row of cottages, Max saw Kaya. She was struggling with something at her door.
"Kaya.. Are you Ok..?" Max walked down to Kaya.
"Ah! Sorry, I'm.. Just having trouble with the door.." Max could see what Kaya was talking about. The door's handle was stiff, even after Max tried to close it. It wouldn't move all the way down.
"It won't lock, I tried it last night... but it was dark, so I was unsure but... It doesn't lock, even after I've tried in daylight." Max looked through the keyhole. You had a clear view of Kaya's entire cottage. Max saw a greenscreen, a stool, and a tripod with a camera; so that's what Monokuma meant by Talent-Themed rooms?
"Maybe we could get someone to look at it later, like maybe Gray or Niji.."
"Yeah... Oh! We were surposed to go to the resteraunt, is that where your're going..?" Kaya let go of the handle.
"Yeah, I was going to the restaurant, come on, let's go!" They both started walking.
Max and Kaya walked in to the resteraunt to an ordeal.
"So what if you can't remember your talent!? That's hella suspicious!" Luna was positioned in the middle of the restaurant, eyeing up Raven.
"Just because we can't remember our talents, 'doesn't make us any more suspicious than anyone else here. Someone could be lying about their talent, isn't that possible?"
"But why the hell would someone do that!? There's no point!"
"Maybe someone also can't remember their talent, and didn't want to be excluded or.. who knows? Didn't want to be deemed suspicious? That doesn't make me, Chiaro, Etsuko, or Max any more suspicious than anyone else."
"S-Shut up! Just shut up! Some of us KNOW that we have the talent we say we have. You lot saying you can't remember is just suspicious. I'm not letting this go. Something is obviously up with you four that means you can't remember your talent!"
"That's what I think too, but to be honest, I don't think any of us can think straight if you constantly flip."
"What did you just say-"
"H-Hey! Break it up, guys, come on. We can't fight right now. We can't." Niji steps in.
"Niji's right, we can't be fighting right now. Especially after that secrets crap Monokuma pulled last night." Sora was slumped back in one of the chairs.
"Oh, yeah, and guess what I got? Huh? Guess what I got?" Luna sneers at Sora.
"Let me guess. Something to do with those guys and not being able to remember their talents."
"Right! You're conspiring against us, aren't you? Aren't you?" Luna stepped forward.
"Scary girl.. Leave Etsuko alone, please.. Etsuko has done nothing wrong.. Why do you suspect Etsuko!?"
"Stop it with all that crap!" Luna snapped.
"H-Hey.. What's going on..." Kaya walks over to Kanna.
"Guys, you all shouldn't be fighting, this is breaking point, come off it.." Alexia stood up from the table she was sitting at with Kanna.
"Alexia's right, too.. None of us should be fighting..!" Kanna gripped the table.
"Guys, what's going on?" Max walks up to Alteca, Sora, and Gray.
Tabitha sat in the corner. "There's not much we can do at this point, really.. Surely. She's gone off it, she's not going back from this grudge now."
"Don't encourage them! Idiot! Absolute Idiot.." Gray glared at Tabitha.
"Hey! Just speaking my honest opinion."
"I swear to god, I swear to god.. I'll rip your throats out..." Luna stepped forward again.
"Stop it! Stop threatening Twin-Girl and friends!" Whisp walks over to Luna.
"Huh? You're one to talk. You conspiring with them too? You're identical to that other one. Spit it out."
"H-Huh... Huh.. No.. No, Whisp and Twin-Girl are both innocent, all friends are innocent. Please don't argue."
"C'mon guys. No arguing. We can't afford this right now." Gray slumped down in a chair nearby.
"G-God... Fine.. I'll leave this for now.. But I'm not staying. I'll see you all later, then." Luna walked out of the side-exit to the entrance.
"L-Luna.. Come on, can't we resove this!?" Kaya ran after her.
"K-Kaya! Wait!" Kanna got up from her chair, but Alexia put her hand on her shoulder to stop Kanna running after her.
After talking at the restaurant for a while, everyone went their seperate ways.
Max thought again about what was on the piece of paper. Gray is the mastermind of this whole thing? Impossible. Gray and Sora asked Niji, Alteca, and some of the girls if they wanted to come to the lobby to play some arcade games. Max agreed to come, since there was nothing better to do.
"Pac-Man, Snake, Twilight Syndrome... Some classics here.." Sora tapped on the arcade games.
"Yeah, I see them. These won't be too hard to complete then.." Gray walked over to Twilight Syndrome, and Sora walked over to Pac-Man. All that was left was Snake, so Max went over to Snake and started playing it. Not even a minute later, Gray started mumbling.
"up, down, up, up, up, up, up, down, right, left, down, up, left, right.."
"Shut up, man.. I'm loosing concentration.. What the hell are you doing?"
After a couple seconds, Gray replied.
"........................cheat codes." He mumbled.
"Huh? Huh? Cheat codes? Why... Just play it normally.."
"I'm the ultimate hacker, come on.."
The Snake ran in to it's tail again. Max groaned.
"Again?" Sora looked over at Snake, even while he was still maneuvering Pac-Man.
"Here. Gimme a go." Sora let Pac-Man run in to Blinky. Sora grabbed the joystick on Snake, and started moving Snake around. Eventually, the snake was so long it was running out of space on the screen.
"The trick is to get it so there's no space left..." Sora didn't seem to be struggling at all.
"BLAMMO! DEAD! BYEBYE!" Gray slams his hand on the arcade machine. Sora doesn't move.
The lobby doors swung open.
"G-Guys!"
It was Alexia. She was sweating. A lot.
"Oh hey. Been for a run again?" Gray tapped to play Pac-Man.
"S-Stop playing! You've... You've all gotta come, right now...!" Alexia ran over to the three of them.
"Yessss! Did it. Won." Sora turned around. "Sorry start again."
"Oh my god.. You're all.. Idiots! All idiots! You need to come, right now..!" Alexia was sweating more than usual. She grabbed Max's sleeve.
"A-Alexia..! Are you Ok..!?" Max grabbed Alexia's shoulder. Alexia turned round.
"Something's happened. Just come on.. Please...!"
Sora and Gray shrugged and followed as Alexia dragged Max around the pool and down the row of cottages. At the bottom was Chiaro, Whisp, and Etsuko - Raven had just come out of her cottage and began walking down to them.
"G-Guys! Get away from there!" Alexia grabbed Whisp's sweater to pull her back.
"W-What!? Converse-girl? Why? Nothing is here!" Etsuko looked at Alexia concerningly.
Alexia ushered to Kaya's cottage.
"The door." Alexia mumbled under her breath.
"I know, it doesn't work properly, we're gonna see if we can get it fixed--" Max replied, but, then Max saw it. The door was open. Just a little but, but it was open; you could see how the side of it wasn't in the doorway. It was open. Kaya wouldn't leave it open. Not after she told Max about how worried she was this morning.
"O-Oh... Where.. did Kaya go..?" Max turned to Alexia. By the time Max had turned to Alexia, her eyes had began streaming tears.
"Shes... Inside. She's inside the cottage..." Alexia stepped back a bit and covered her hands with her mouth, crying.
"Inside.. Oh, wait.." Sora looked over at the door. He began to move forward, but cautiously. Before he had even gotten past Tabitha's cottage, Gray had walked past Sora, in full stride, to reach the door.
"I'll go in first." Gray got to the door, his eyes swelling slightly. "Crap.." Gray stepped back.
"What is it..?" Max began taking steps forward.
"It stinks.. Oh god.." Gray held his nose and opened the door.
[creeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak]
"GYAAAAAH!" Gray fell back. "Oh.. My god.. OH my god!"
"What!? What is it!?" Max ran in to Gray's field of view. Max ran in to the doorway, and that's when he saw it. No.. Not 'it'. Her.
