I logged on and took a look around the lobby, deciding whether this place was worth staying or if I should leave. After a few moments of pondering, I checked the gamemodes: creative, murder, downgrade, party games, freeze tag and ditto. Hmm... Which one to go in? I settled for creative, since it had the most players, and took a look around the spawn. I was impressed, that was for certain, much better than anything I could even think of, never mind build. Then, I finally spoke in chat. All I said was 'Hi, uh. I'm new here, can anyone tell me how to claim a plot?' instantly, someone replied. I smiled because I had been noticed then read the message. 'Welcome! Do /plot auto or if you're on an un-claimed plot do /plot claim' Quickly, I proceeded to get a random plot. Yet again, more amazing builds surrounding me. I stared at one in particular, flabbergasted. It had lots of mini animal sculptures. Suddenly, I heard someone land behind me. I turned and faced them. "Oh! You're the new person, aren't you?" They said. I replied, with "Yeah, I guess I am." We stood awkwardly in silence for a minute before another person flew over to us. "Who's she?" They asked the first person. "I'm non-binary, actually." I said, a little annoyed that they didn't ask myself who I was. "They're the new player!" The first person answered. "Who are you two?" I asked. The first person responded first. "Amical, nice to meet you." I smiled then Amical and I turned to the other person. "Tell them who you are, then!"
"No. Cya!" They laughed before disappearing. "Oh! And he's logged out. Well then." She looked at the floor for a moment. "I'm Tsuki, by the way." I said, hoping I could break the silence. It was simple to tell what she felt at the moment, as I was having the same problem as well. Neither of us could open up to people easily, regardless of us being friendly. "Right... I'm gonna get back to building." Amical said, pointing to the plot I was admiring. "Wait! You own that?" I asked, surprised. "Uh, yeah!"
"I really like your builds! They're so cute!"
"Oh, thank you. No one has ever commented nicely on... Well anything that I've made."
"How? They're amazing! Ami I really think you've got a secret talent!" She laughed and smiled at me. I was confused, did she think I was joking? "Ami... I like that nickname."
"Well, if you want someone to use it then..." I did /friend Amical. Immediately she accepted. "Hey I've got to go. Will you be on tomorrow? 4pm UK time?"
"Yeah. See you."
"No. Cya!" They laughed before disappearing. "Oh! And he's logged out. Well then." She looked at the floor for a moment. "I'm Tsuki, by the way." I said, hoping I could break the silence. It had just turned to 4pm when I finally managed to come back to Partyzone. I had joined the forums the night before and had met another person. Her name was Jessica and she had explained some commands, rules and features of the server to me. We had spent a few hours talking and had arranged for her to come on at 4, too. I logged on, looked around, waiting for someone to message me since I only knew how to reply and not start messaging. Finally, Ami realised I was online and teleported to me. "Why did you take so long to teleport?" I asked, puzzled. "Staff are holding an event!" She replied. "Do /tpa Amical when I'm gone if you want to come."
I did as I was told then stared at one person in particular. I noticed something about Amical which I hadn't before. "Where'd you get that VIP tag?"
"I had this yesterday, what are you on about?" She laughed. I shrugged then followed her around aimlessly, observing the event. "What is this?"
"It's a 'sleepover', I'm not sure what GlowingLights was thinking when they advertised it in chat." Urgh, great! More stuff I don't understand. "Who's GlowingLights?" I asked.
"She's the person you were watching before. Go say hi to her, she's really nice!"
"You sure?"
"Just do it." Yet again, I followed her instructions and walked up to GlowingLights, shivering. This was the first staff member I'll ever meet, better make a good first impression.
Now, lemme pause for a moment here. I REALLY, REALLY wish it went well, so much so that I can't even stress to you how much I wish that were the case.
I looked at her, she did seem friendly, I got that feeling from her. "Can I help you?"GlowingLights asked. "Hello, I'm Tsuki." I muttered, tripping over every syllable. "Sorry, who?"
"Tsuki."
"Nice to meet you!" She gave me a warm smile. Good, that meant I was doing a decent job. "I'm GlowingLights but call me Raya."
"What's your name?" I asked, as if she didn't already answer my querie before I asked. "Raya... I just told you." She replied. It was that moment I knew I messed up. I made the situation even MORE awkward by running away with no further conversation! I felt her just staring at me as I ran away. Oh! And I fell over. I sprinted to the edge of the plot then sat down. "Luna." I heard a voice from behind say. I turned around, surprised. "Who's Luna, Jessica?" I laughed.
"Your name, it translates to moon or luna. That's your nickname from now on, by the way."
"Oh. Come sit with me."
"I saw you flee from the 'sleepover', why did you freak out so badly? It's just Raya, you aren't confronting Gaurav because you think he should add a Guzma and Bin rank."
"Guzma and Bin rank?" I quoted. She shook her head and laughed. "Never mind." We sat and chatted for a while before Amical finally came to us, and with her, another person. "Everyone, this is Donovan!" Ami announced. Donovan waved and gave a warm smile. "I saw you run away from staff, that seemed like a pretty horrible position to be in." I laughed at this.
"I guess I just have awful communication skills." In return he laughed at my statement, although I'm not sure if he was just being polite or genuinely laughing. An hour passed before all of us decided to leave.
