This suggestion could go two ways. First of all, I think the forums page should add another section into the community area called something along the lines of ‘Advice’.
What would this section be used for?
This section would be used for those who have any problems they wish to express or advice/tips they’d like to give to others. This allows people to express their feelings, whether it’s positive or negative. For example, if someone is feeling upset about stress at school, they may wish to ask for advice. They would post a thread something along the lines of ‘I’ve had some exams at school, and I’m very stressed out. What are the best ways to deal with this? I’d love some feedback!’ Then, anyone can respond to this person.
So like I said at the beginning, this idea could go two ways.
The first way is that people could be very friendly and positive to those with problems or in the need for advice. I know that many people on the forums are welcoming and very kind. However some people may have strong opinions which may disagree with other people. This could cause arguments or an even worse problem than before. Or some people could take some problems as a joke which could make other people very upset.
So I think if this suggestion was to get implemented, I think that, if it’s possible, there should be an option if you want to post a problem/bit of advice anonymously. How this should work is your normal public forum account will be connected to the ‘anonymous name’. Even though this won’t prevent anyone from joking about a problem, you can still report this person for ‘bad behaviour’. This report would be like any other report on a public forum account and, as it’s connected to the public forum account, they’d be given a report on that account, not the anonymous one.
EDIT
For the anonymous option, if you wish to make an anonymous post, your name would simply be ‘Anonymous’ and then a number, for example, ‘Anonymous5463’
I don’t know how well this suggestion will go, but please leave some feedback on what you think. Personally I think this will be very useful to people who want to express their feelings. Thanks for reading.
