Forums Necro Posting (A Way We Could Stop It)

Hello!
A way to stop Necro Posting is when a thread goes cold to literally have a staff member lock it
Nothing more to be said :)

This would add hassle to the staff imo. :p
Threads are always going cold so for staff having to manually lock them would just be time consuming and annoying.

Just because it is cold doesn't mean it won't get put up again. As said above this would be a lot of work for staff...

As well necro posting isn't a issue at all in my opinion. I haven't really necro if I added more things to a suggestion. Yet if the thread is completely dead and I just say thats a nice idea then I would consider thst necro posting. Either way necro posting isn't a issue currently. If it does become a issue I am sure staff will find a way to deal with it.

When a thread goes cold, it automatically should lock. Though, sometimes this can glitch and the thread does not lock. If this happens pm a staff member about it.
Otherwise necro posting isn't that big of an issue right now.

Also I like how I've seen lots of staff members necropost, yet players get punished for it? lol @ClockworkFlips

It must be an issue if it's against the rules though.
 
This isn’t much of a suggestion. We already try to lock it, but sometimes we miss one or two– we’re only human after all! The best way to prevent being punished for necro posting is... to not necro post. Check the date of the last reply and if it’s 14 or more days after, don’t reply to it. Message a mod on the forums and ask the thread to be locked.

I believe it is, but the forums are a little buggy sometimes so they don’t always auto lock, so mods have to.

Report their post. It violates the rules so they should not be doing it either.
 
Honestly, I don't see necro posting as a problem, but I guess the staff must have a good reason if it's against the rules.
