(before I start this isn't at all hostile from my end and I am not trying to argue, just having a respectful discussionI disagree with this idea. I know it isn't being said above, but it would really just kill v1. People (me included) have worked hard on their builds and such in ESv1, and ESv2 would just kill ESv1, making our huge projects and builds way less valuable, as with a v2, everyone would practically forget that v1 even exists. I completely disagree, and there is much land yet to be discovered in ESv1 aswell. If you take the time to travel far from spawn, you will encounter new land that no one has been to, that no one has interfered with.
If this were to happen, I would definitely wait a LONG time for it. The idea itself isn't bad, but it is far too early for something like this. And if it were to happen in the far future, then I agree with this idea, but it is just... too early. Too many people still play. It isn't dead yet.

Well, the thing is, how many people really play elite survival now? Today I logged in and stayed there for a bit and there were maybe 10 people on at max. It seems as if people have already forgotten about ES as is. And the thing about 'there is land to be discovered' isn't really an agree or disagree statement, I know several people have tried to run out and find a new place, but it would take days. Theres also the issue that when you go out super far, it starts to lag the server and make it less fun to play anyways.
Lastly, as I mentioned, ES was released in 2016 and hasn't been restarted yet. That's two years. Two years with the same seed, same resources, and 0 updates. We've gone from 1.8 to 1.12, and there have been many many things added to the game that, unless you play single player or on another server that is updated, you haven't been able to experience. I'm not saying that it needs to be restarted right this second, but I do believe that those who have been wanting a reset for the past year should be given the opportunity to experience all of these new things.
