New Gametype ‘Infection’

In a secret location hidden on the flat earth ;)
So, I was bored, so I decided to look at the oldest announcement. It was by SideBySide (Dean). I noticed it mentioned SkyWars and a game mode called ‘Infection’.
Commands:
/msg <player> <msg>
Also works with /tell, /mail, and /whisper
Same as normal, but can send throughout the entire network! If you want to PM a friend on SkyWars, while you're playing Infection, you can do that!
I was just thinking we could bring this back. It may raise the playerbase substantially as I’ve never seen another server with an infection gamemode

*Side* note, SideBySide isn't Morphic. SideBySide is Dean.

It would be nice to see the gamemode return yet it needs updating and fine tunning. As seen as mini-games get older they get worn out in functionallity and in player amount/want. Also there are some servers out there that have this and one is a major network. Also I know one network with it that I absolutly loved yet its basically a ghost server.

Maybe change a lot of things to make it a little better. Such as achements, prestige, ranks, cool classes, and special effects such as arrow trails and pets that help you. Donor perks auch as a free pet(Tim the zombie) that is there for cosmetics and some free special effects. Totally didn't steal 90% of the ideas from the ghost server.... @ATanCommander

Oh yea... just saying please put it in 1.8.9 (well so it acts like it)combat only across all versions so its not unfair and 1.8.9 pvp is bae.

I wanted to put a suggestion in with this gamemode but I don't really know what an infection gamemode would be like... care to explain anyone?

Everyone starts as humans and try to find a safe camping spot or just be those few who run. Some of the humans will be the infected. Infected tries to pick off the remaining humans. after a set time the humans win unless the infected kill them all.

kits, systems, etc can be used to make it less boring, interesting, and unique.

Well you've gotta definitely fine tune it. But infection could become a really really good Gamemode if done well but I'd hope other game modes would be brought out before it. *cough* *cough Skywars, factions <3

These things take time and factions will probably never return but can't ever give up hope.

Shout out to all that remember FACTIONS! You guys are the MVP's
 
Honestly this seems pretty cool and a new addiction for me,(not that I need anymore). I never had the chance to play when I first joined the server so it'd be a great chance to actually try it out.
 
For those who weren't lucky enough to have joined when it was up, I'll briefly explain the game.

You spawn in a small hub, and wait like usual. Someone is randomly chosen to be the zombie, or the "infected". Everyone else must run out of the hub, which previously was a castle, and parkour, climb, and hide behind, on, or in front of different things. The point of the game is to avoid being infected and run down the clock. The infected's job is to hunt down the uninfected one, and touch them, infecting them as well.

So basically freeze tag?

So its not exactly like freeze tag maybe some kits could be added to make it pvp and hide based?
 
Yes, I believe that's why Freeze Tag was added, to be a better version of Infection
