Okay, there's this dude on minecraft going around and stealing capes. He stole mine but i was able to get back but as it looks like, he stole someone else's. Just a warning for you. Here's his profile: https://namemc.com/profile/66V.3

From the looks of it, he only wants optifine capes.

be careful and check your profile alot if you have a cape.

You can. First you gotta find out the password and email then transfer the cape to your account. There, that's how you do it.
No, i don't take capes (better say that now or people will think i'm stupid) its just pretty easy to tell how they got in

For finding out email and pass they probs use a computer hack thing idk im not a hacker so idk that part

Yes you can mine is stolen once every week. I have to continuously change all my info and continuously get it back. its literally whatever at this point minecraft is dead.
 
maybe invest in a better password if theyre hacking your accounts to get the cape

It is exactly as if a murderer walks to you and says: can i have your laifu plsssss?

Thing is, i never shared my info to anyone but my parents. So you can't say i told the dude what my password is.
My cape was stolen while i was on vacation and i soon saw what happened few hours after i got home.

You all think its hard for hackers to get your accounts if you have a more complex password. Thats completely wrong it probably takes 4 more minutes to get in. If hackers can get into the government stuff or Xbox or PSN they can surely get your MC Accounts smh.

I’ll step in here one final time - I am actually the mother and I unfortunately get notifications for all of these little comments, thus the reason for my earlier post. The cape was retrieved; the password has been changed; no one is attempting to ‘trick’ anyone - this was only meant as a friendly warning to others; I imagine it is rather humorous and unexpected to see someone’s Mom post on a thread. So again, thanks everyone for your input. I think we can put this thread to bed now. :)

Lmao, do you even know how hard it is to obtain someone's password?

Most websites encrypt your password to make it nearly impossible for a computer to unencrypt it. Although it is nearly impossible it takes a while to. If you have a good password it may take years for a computer to figure it out. There are some password like 123 etc. that are easy for a computer to crack that only takes a couple minutes or seconds. This is due to most encrypted passwords have been unencrypted and released with the encrypted hash.

So I mean he wouldn't be stealing your capes. He could be using some mod that grabs it for a bit and gives it back or something.
