(Used this art image at a reference. This isn't their EXACT appearance. It also isn't my art). upload_2017-9-2_15-3-9.jpeg(Basically like in a hoodie that covers his face - that face isn't what he really looks like)

He pulled one backpack strap over his shoulder, grabbed the other, and slung it over his other shoulder.
He pulled his hood over his head.

Closing the door behind him, he entered the pristine hallway.
He looked at his reflection on the shimmering marble floor.
He shrugged, stepping forward, as if to step on his reflection.

He tapped his way down the stairs, swinging round to descend down the next flight, but tapping his Lonverze, red shoes on the glistening stairs as if to make a rhythm.

The doors opened with a creak, slowly. Again he saw himself in the reflection of the glass door.
He pulled his hood down more to cover more of his face.

Stepping outside, the rain patted on his hood as if to grab his attention.
He tutted, catching the rain in his hand and throwing it to the side.
He made his way along the concrete path beside the busy road across the bridge, dodging in and out of people.

He sat on the stone wall and gazed up at the clock on the top of the school - 8:24am. He was early. He pulled his phone from his pocket

and it flew to the side and smashed against the nearby wall.

He looked over at the flickering phone by the wall with confused, widened eyes.
He walked over and picked it up. He sat back down - shrugging it off.

The bell rung. He went inside.

At science he poked at his phone, he poked at the part of the screen that has smashed.
To no avail - Again he shrugged it off.

All he can say is that the day was long and boring.
And not helpful at all.
It was the same routine.

He tapped at his phone. By what happened, he'll need a new one.
He sat on the wall again and fiddled with it for a second.

And it flew out of his hand again. In to the hand of another hooded person.

He looked on at the person who now held his phone in bemusement.
"S-Sorry. Could I have that back please?" He asked warily,
They gave it back.
He thanked them. He then looked down at his phone.

It was brand new. The screen was fixed - the metal not scratched, nor was the rim missing any parts.

He looked down at it - studying the sides, the screen, the camera. All new. But it was his phone, oh, yeah it was his phone. all his images and videos and apps and history was on this phone.

Had they fixed it?

Looking up again, he turned to face them.
They had gotten up and walked away. They were down the street.
He fastly ran after them as the storm clouds above started to darken.
Lightning flashed - The person soon realised and moved faster, knowing that he was following them.
He didn't stop following them. How did they fix his phone.

Could they be the one who made it fly out of his hand?
But then why would they just come along and repair it again?
He needed to know.
He wasn't going anywhere, so he had more than enough time.

Eventually, they stopped down a street.
He stopped by the beginning of the street. They were in the middle.
They turned around, waved, and entered a toy store.

He followed. As he entered, the space where he entered in the doorway seemed to create a ripple effect as he stepped inside;

He looked around - It's huge!
Bigger than what it looked like from outside, anyway...
He ducked down under the yellow and black tape that covered the door from the inside.
People looked at him, almost seemingly whispering about him.
He looked back at the door he had just come through, which was cornered off with tape - forbidding people from entering. But.. He just entered from the outside?

He shoved through the people, looking for the other hooded person. To no avail.

He climbed the spiral stairs in the middle of the packed store, to get a better view.
There they were! Through the store's front door!

He clambered down the spiral stairs again, pushing his way through the crowd, out of the stuffy, plastic-smelling store to the outside, where he took a deep breath and leant on his knees.

He frantically looked back and forth, looking for them.

He saw them, they were looking straight at him. As soon as he saw them, they ran. He ran after them.

They ran up a street, through alleyways, out alleyways, dead ends where they'd take a U-Turn, and somehow he'd just about miss being able to catch them.

Until they entered a dark alleyway. Both out of breath, they had slowed down since they started the chase. They reached yet another dead end. They tried to do yet another U-Turn, but failed, he grabbed them by the hood... They were surprisingly light, so he lifted them up by their hood, they struggled.

"Why are you even running!?" He explained, "I just want to know how and why you fixed my phone!" He pulled his phone from his pocket and presented it to them.
They struggled and kicked him in the stomach, he dropped them.

They landed on the ground and got up weakily. Their hood fell down slightly in the process to reveal their face, you couldn't see their ears or any further of their head. A girl. Black hair, with a fringe that, when facing them, goes to the left with 3 tufts of hair. Her hair was short. It rained on her from the dark sky, you could hear people in the main street they were in beforehand running into stores for cover from the raging storm clouds above.

She stared at him for a second.
He stared back at her with a shocked and confused look.

She ignored his questions from before. She didn't smile yet, she turned slightly,

"Let's start with your name," She said softly but in a strong tone - as if she wasn't playing around.

The rain pelted on his hood so hard that his hood slowly came down, a drip at a time to reveal his face.

He looked over at her, put his head down and said, firmly,
"Jackal." He paused. "You?"
"Call me Kage." She turned around to face him slightly again. "That isn't my real name, but that doesn't matter," She shook her head.

Kage then suddenly snapped, looking really shocked.
"Wait! You penetrated the barrier!?" She put her hand on her forehead, obviously anxious.
"Barrier?" Jackal asked calmly.

Kage grabbed Jackal's hand and lead him.
"Put your hood back up!" She demanded. Jackal did so, and She pulled her hood further up so that it covered her entire face yet again.

Kage lead him down a couple of streets... Jackal studied the people around him. They were a bit... unusual, and more well-informed than people he usually saw in his day-to-day life;
"Where are we?" He asked.

She pulled him to the side and he slammed against a wall in a shelter. People had coats on and hoods on from the storm, and many stores along the streets were packed full of people.
"Don't ask things like that here!" Kage pleaded to him, "I'm protecting you, so act natural, OK? But I need you to stay close to me."
Kage took hold of his hand again, but this time she wasn't dragging him. She lead him and they walked side-by-side. Kage was obviously embarrassed by the whole.. holding hands thing. Jackal wasn't, he just looked on at all the people curiously... Everthing was so different here.. where is he?

Kage lead him in to a large building, pulling her hood to just before her ears again, so you could only see the front of her hair and her face. She let go of his hand. She just ushered for Jackal to follow her.

She went to the desk in the large room full of people with peculiar things.. some had wolf ears, pointy ears, wolf tails, cat ears, fox ears, cat tails, fox tails, some were tall, some were lean, some were large, some were stumpy.

Jackal looked round - Bemused, but curious and excited. Kage kept turning around to check on him.

Kage talked to the man at the front desk;
"Oh, 3, Welcome back. Is there something you wish to report?" The Neko-man looked over at Jackal. Kage stuttered.
"Uh.. He's a, uhm..." Kage looked back at Jackal. He was looking around with glistening eyes.
Kage changed her story.

"He's training - He wants to sign up for the guild, but not yet, just thought I'd... Let you know."
"Ah... Ok..." He looked slightly confused. "Is that all?"
"Yeah. Have a nice day, Jermin." Kage walked away. Slightly anxious again. She grabbed hold of Jackal again as he tried to talk to one of the elven people and dragged him outside.

'What the heck did I just do!?' Kage thought; she held her forehead, sweating.
'I can't go back in there now.' She shook her head. Jackal was away again and trying to talk to a group of fairies in the street. She pulled him back again.
'So I'm stuck with him... He's human, not that it's a bad thing but... Humans are rare here. They're a rare breed, and the ancestors of humans who are born here now did originate from earthland.'

Kage thought for a moment, Jackal was bouncing off the walls with excitement.
*cue a whole new world music*

She came to a decision, Kage grabbed Jackal by the hood and lead him to a phone box, there was a small line. Jackal looked down at her, confused.
"A phone box?" Jackal widened an eye.
Kage ushered for him to be quiet.

Eventually, their turn came.
She lead Jackal in to the Phone box, surprisingly since they weren't as large as some of the people before them, they fit in the phone box nicely.

Kage ushered him, "Don't panic, people will suspect you. Long story short, your memory will be wiped if you do. If you're scared by this, don't panic, just close your eyes."
Jackal looked slightly scared under his hood, since they both still had them up.

Kage spawned a purple flame in her hand, she dropped it - it created a void in the floor, they sunk inside of it. Jackal sweated and looked frightened under the shadow of his hood. They disappeared in to the Galaxy-coloured spiral void, once they were submerged, it disappeared. The door to the phone box opened once again, and in went the next person.

Jackal slowly opened his eyes.

Like-ing cause of the potato

This world is so two faced, so the title alone is my life.
Either way, the Prologue sounds pretty good so far, and i can't wait to read the book, once you start it. Good luck Red :)

Edit: How'd i get mentioned? From what i recall, i said "I had an Idea, but i forgot"
