My Idea
Each game will have 10 players, or so, and the one that wins the most points in the mini-games win. First place= 3 points Second place=2 points and Third place= 1 point. 4th place-10th place= no points. There will be 8 mini-games per game and each time you play Mini-Game Mayhem you will play the mini-games in a different order. Each mini-game will be about 1-2 minutes long making the Mini-Game Mayhem around 10 minutes long. For Mini-Game Mayhem we can make a different version of an existing game, like downgrade, so it is more suited to be 1-2 minutes long. Mini-Game Mayhem will need a lot of mini-games as when a player has enough coins, they will be able to vote for the selection of games they want to play. For example when you win a game you get 50 coins; you need 100 coins to vote for a game option and there will be 4 different mini-game selections, so in total there will be 32 mini-games. This may seam a lot but they will be fairly simple and easy to make/ design. Of course for the initial release of the game, there only needs to be one mini-game preset, and more can be added later. Once a player is out of a mini game they will go into spectator mode. Be fore each mini-game there is a 5-10 second pause while rules for the mini-game are put in chat. The same happens at the end of each mini-game where the 3 winners names are put in chat. i.e.
Winners:
First Place=( Name) 3 points
Second Place (Name) 2 points
Third Place (Name) 1 point
Also at the end of each round it also shows the the leader board for all players. i.e.
Winners:
First Place=( Name) 3 points
Second Place (Name) 2 points
Third Place (Name) 1 point
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leader Board:
1. (Name)
2. (Name)
3. (Name)
4. (Name)
5. (Name)
6. (Name)
7. (Name)
8. (Name)
9. (Name)
10. (Name)
This game is similar to games on other servers but we can make it unique by making each mini-game unique, giving a unique experience.
Mini-Games!!
I have an idea for one mini-game preset but i don't have all 32 mini-games figured out yet so please post your ideas as well and I will edit them in to this post and give you credit.
Preset 1 (PhileasFogg3)
Game 1: The floor is Lava.
This game will go on until there is one player remaining and players will spawn on a glass platform with lava underneath the glass. The arena will be about 25 by 25 blocks. The game starts by a 3 by 3 area of glass blocks turning to green stained clay (terracotta) and players will have 10 seconds to get there. In each round the time players have to get to there destination decreases until it reaches 5 seconds. When the game carries on until there is only one player remaining in the arena, when they will be awarded with 3 points, with 2nd and 3rd place being rewarded with 2 and 1 points respectively. You are out by being burnt in the lava and you re-spawn in spectator mode.
EXTRA INFO:
.The time does not decrease by one second per round, but one second every two rounds so there will be 10 rounds before it reaches 5 seconds.
.The 3 by 3 of green clay is randomly selected each round.
. Time left and round number is displayed in a boss bar at the top of the screen.
Game 2: Fly
In this game you must fly to the finish to win. Like before first place get 3 points, second place gets two points and third place gets one point. You fly through a map, that is fairly strait forward but there will be small short cuts and obstacles you fly past. There will be various speed boosts you can fly though to gain speed and height. There will be 5 checkpoints in each map and 15 speed boosts the map should be around 300 blocks long, with various twists and turns.
EXTRA INFO:
.After the third player crosses the line all players have 30 seconds to finish the game.
.Time left after third place finishes will be displayed in the boss bar at the top of the screen.
Game 3: Maze Runner
In this game you need to get to the middle of the maze while having to stay away from other players. The maze will be 50 blocks by 50 blocks and it will be made out of leaves. All players will spawn on the outer rim of the maze and must find there way to the monument in the middle to win. However all players will have stone swords and will be able to attack other players they come across, if you die you will re-spawn in spectator mode and when you finish the maze you re-spawn in spectator mode too. EXTRA INFO:
.After third place finishes all players have 30 seconds to finish the game.
.Time left after third place finishes will be displayed at the boss bar at the top of the screen
Game 4: FOOOOOOOD!!!
In this game you must deliver the requested food to a villager. They will ask for 5 different items and each time you only have 20 seconds to deliver each food item to the villager. Each player has their own kitchen of about 20 by 20 blocks and each players kitchen is next to the other player kitchens so you can see how other players are doing. Your villager will be at the counter of the kitchen waiting to be served, and there required food item will be told to you in a name tag above there head. You will have to craft your villager's dish from food items in chests in your kitchen. You get points based on how quickly you made your dish, under 5 seconds= 5 points, between 5-7 seconds=4 points, between 7-10 seconds= 3 points, 10-15 seconds= 2 points 15-20 seconds= 1 point, failed to give villager the dish= no points. All rounds last 20 seconds, there will be 5 rounds (one for each food dish) and when you finish your dish you can just relax until the next round starts.
EXTRA INFO:
.There will be a score board on the right hand side of the screen, listing the top three players, for this mini-game only.
.Time left for each round, and round number will be displayed in a boss bar at the top of the screen
Game 5: Run!
In this game players need to complete an assault cause while blocks behind them are falling into the void, you will need to parkour to the end of the map without being eaten by the abyss. The blocks will fall into the abyss fairly quickly, so players will have very little time to stand around and wait. When a player falls into the void they re-spawn in spectator mode and wait until there is only one player left. The maps are difficult to explain so i will leave some pictures for you to see. Bear in mind that the pictures are very basic and there is no detail in the maps, it is just purely to get my point across.
EXTRA INFO:
.The beacon represents the end of the map, if you finish the map you get 1 point bonus point even if you finish out of the top three.
.The gold block at the start of the map represent where players spawn.
Game 6: Fight!
This game is a test of PVP skill, all players enter an arena and fight each other until one remains all players have a full set of iron armour, diamond swords and 2 golden apples. Its as simple as that!
The game starts in a main arena and progresses to a smaller on as time goes on.
EXTRA INFO:
.If the game does not end after 3 minutes a death match situation is initiated and players are get teleported to a much smaller arena.
.Time left before death match is displayed in a boss bar at the top of the screen.
.Death Match arena is spherical (like a Roman Colosseum) and has a radius of about 25 (diameter of 50)
.The main arena is spherical (like a Roman Colosseum) and has a radius of about 50 (diameter of 100)
Game 7: Escape
All players spawn in identical rooms about 20 blocks by 20 blocks and must escape the room. They will be faced with various puzzles and challenges they need to complete to be able to escape. They will only be able to break certain blocks with specific tools. I will leave an example picture of a possible room design along with step by step instructions. You spawn in in on gold blocks in the centre of the iron room.
Instructions:
1) Start punching the oak wood logs.
2)Craft a crafting table and place it down on any of the available iron blocks in the centre room.
3)Craft a wood pix axe and mine the stone.
4)With the stone craft the stone pix axe and furnace
5) Place the furnace down on any available iron block.
7) With stone pix axe mine iron and coal.
8) Smelt the iron and craft a bucket.
9)Pick up the water with the bucket.
10) Place the water on the edge of the any wood block, at the highest point and swim up to escape the first room.
11) Now you are in the bigger room you must mine the stone with your pix axe and mine the wood block and the single piece of coal.
12) Craft a crafting table and furnace.
13) Smelt the piece of cobble stone you have left over to get smooth stone.
14) Craft the smooth stone to get an stone button and put it on the Lapis Lazuli Block.
15) Press the button which removes the chiselled quartz blocks, which reveals the reward room (gold and diamond room) , (you escaped)
EXTRA INFO
.Blocks that cannot be broken:
.Gold
.Diamonds
.Iron
.Wood planks
.Furnaces
.Crafting Tables.
.Chiselled quartz block
.Lapis Lazuli Block.
.There is no time limit for this game, first three to escape and then the game ends.
.Every time someone escapes a message comes up in chat saying "The player (Name) has escaped."
Game 8: Mayhem
In this final game players must survive a bombardment of TNT raining on them. 1 TNT spawns every 5 seconds in a random area over a 35 by 35 block platform. The TNT spawn rate gradually increases until it is 5 TNT a second. This one will be quick and intense, as it is just a flat platform with no cover at all. When a player dies they go into spectate mode and watch.
EXTRA INFO:
.There is No PVP in this game
.If you fall off the platform you are also out of the game.
How the Mini-Game Mayhem ends:
The game ends after all eight mini-games have been played and players are teleported to a room where the three players with the most stars are put on podiums, these a blocked with barriers so other players cant join them and they cant leave. Fireworks go off and the winners are announced in chat. i.e.
First Place (Name)
Second Place (Name)
Third Place (Name)
Thank you for reading this, i know it was a long post!
Please comment your preset ideas and i will add them to this post and give you credit and any feedback would be amazing; also i added some more escape pictures.
Thanks
