In a secret location hidden on the flat earth ;)
So, when playing murder, I understand you shouldn't be able to pm someone whilst in gane to prevent ghosting. But when in the pre-game lobby, I think you should be able to use /msg because there isn't a chance of ghosting. Also, its rather annoying if you want to reply to a msg, you have to leave, respond and then try get back in the game before it starts.

Yeah I had this problem before I was talking to my friend and kept having to leave the game to message them then I'd miss it starting and have to spectate.

I'm actually for this, but I can tell you that it probably™ wont get added.

I feel like this would be a good idea, rather than having to leave the game msg people and risk coming back in late.

OR at least (In game and pre-lobby) be able to message just staff. for instances such as when someone is breaking rules in gamed, Instead of having to leave mid-game you can message a staff member. And in my experiences ive been in tons of games with hackers and rule-breakers, where I had to leave to message someone

But is it worth it?
Example a: person 1 talks to you 10 seconds left on the clock

You talk to them and you want to continue yet your in game.
...
They can talk to you yet you can't talk to them unless you leave. It's only 20 ish seconds of talking nothing is going to happen also I can see in game (lobby wise) talking. No one will even know that you are teaming or other wise. 2 people in 1 lobby of murder. Each communicate with /msg and can do different code names so they never know. Then again social media apps bleh already allow this with ingame (actual murder game) communicating.
Probally 1 other down side of this yet that's really all I can come up with.

I'm confused

I think disabling messages should only be used for dead users. I mean people in the game can use /msg, but if you're dead then you can't? Just my thoughts.

Confused about what?

Simplfied:
1. You can only talk to a average of 20 seconds which you could simply leave the game and chat.
2. 2 people inside the same lobby could talk to each other secretly.
So what if they can talk in lobby secretly, they can do that anywhere.

And also how can you only talk to someone for 20 seconds? T depends on how full your lobby is.

Yes they can do it anywhere yet let's say 2 people were teaming they can easily share stuff and codes for everything and it changes.
...
20 seconds is the average, it might take 50 seconds to a simple 10 seconds. The user messaging you would rarely message you right at the 50 second mark. So 20 seconds is where I would put It as well. Just simply leave the lobby. It's not a hard thing to do and is 10 second of talking worth it?

It doesn't matter if they use /msg to plot teaming, because they can do it in normal chat.

And also, 20 seconds is better than leaving your game, replying to the message, and trying to join back before your game starts.

Sure yet what about just leaving the game and chating? Not being rude here yet it's such as simple thing to do.
Yes, but if you're in a pregame lobby, someone sends you a pm, its just easier to reply without leaving, and its the little things that amount to big things, so yes its a small step, but its a step towards making the server even better
