Murder Something about Murder I've wanted to talk about for a while now.

Do you believe that Teaming should be bannable? Should there be a new Anti-Cheat?

  • Teaming should be bannable and there should be a new anti cheat.

  • Teaming should be bannable and there shouldn't be a new anti cheat.

  • Teaming shouldn't be bannable however there should be a new anti cheat.

  • Teaming shouldn't be bannable and there shouldn't be a new anti cheat.

This is mostly for the staff to see, however some other people might agree.
Firstly,
I want to argue about something that is really annoying for players. That is teaming. It is considered a non bannable but punishable offense. I understand that staff work really hard and I believe that teaming should become bannable but not permanently bannable. Even though teaming is punishable, that isn't enough to stop teamers. Every day I see about 2 set of teamers. However what is interesting is that many times I see the exact same people teaming again still even 10 days or 15 days after. Also I believe it is annoying for staff aswell. AngryRena and Kona were close friends of mine and they had complained in the past about this but there is still no difference. Moreover, letting people know that they can be suspended for some days and maybe even a month would make them stop because about everyone knows that teaming isn't bannable at this point. I myself agree that I have teamed a lot at this time so I can spread the word and the community have actually called staff to my game 5% of times and when they did I proudly teamed in front of them and took my warn.
Secondly, If teaming is bannable at least please make staff have one specific idea that it's either bannable or not bannable. I want to say that there is a big communication error with staff. I have asked a lot of staff about this question, Is teaming bannable? I have come to the conclusion that ~3/5 staff will say that it isn't and then the others will say that it is. I got 16 total answers saying that it isn't and 10 that it is. I do not want to mention names specifically. Some others said that it's punishable and dodged my Yes/No question completely so I did not involve them.
Moreover, there is seriously no anti-cheat everyday is a hacker in a game or in the lobby. I do remember the old anti-cheat bugs but I mean it doesn't mind that much as long as there will be no hackers in the game. Many people agree that they would rather have the old fence bug instead of have hackers in-game.
In conclusion, if you believe any information that I am mentioning is invalid please correct me as I have not been in the staff before and this is based on my friends, certain people and my opinion. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this. I hate making such threads because I am really bad at elaborating and I hope people understand
I hope the best for the future of Murder.

Teaming with the murderer as a bystander is already a bannable offence. And Amu made a suggestion about a better anti-cheat and users said that the system Pz has now works.

I saw two hackers yesterday, two.
I played for less than an hour.

And of course there's no vote changing, why would anyone deselect that box?

In the server rules 'Do not play against your own team » There are teams for a reason. Finding ways around the system to play against your own team is not allowed.'

Punishable does indeed include banning, although i believe its not permanent. Also how would an anti-cheat find teamers in a game? We have an anti-cheat and we also have staff to hunt them down, as well as a system to know when suspected hackers log in. We are always watching you.

It is what it is people have different opinions. Yet I do believe staff should have 1 solid answer it is what it is. At least there isn't millions of hackers on pz and etc. I reported 1 person 3 or 5 times for teaming yet I seen no change so it is indeed questionable yet staff have their duties and we can't control it.

I think he meant the better anti-cheat as a separate suggestion, not connected to teaming, but good explanation anyways.

Response to previous messages ^^

I think atm, teamers dont know that teaming is bannable. If they did, they wouldnt do it and be so open about it - teamers literally walk around with eachother and let the spectators rage.

The fact is that there isnt much publicity on the fact of that it is bannable, so people do it more. If there was something that could happen that would make sure that all the teamers know that its bannable and that people will record and report them, then they wouldnt do it as much as they do now. If you did a full day of murder, i guarantee there will be quite a lot of teamers.

We just need more people to know that teaming is bannable. Cause then there would be less teaming because they will get scared of the ban.

We are always watching you.
Can I make a "Morphic sees you when your sleeping" parody of "santa claus is coming to town" now?

I agree, maybe a report award/prize would tempt people to report more? 1k ingame coins for example are easy to get and it would be a nice bonus to add to any succesful reports.

People could try to make alts to do this. Besides, sometimes some people find tons of rule breakers the report *Cough* *Cough* @jedijoe *Cough* *Cough*

Yeah

Most people dont know about the fact teaming is bannable is because ghosting isnt - they think that any other offence is also fine. We just need the players to know that teaming is bannable. Ghosting might not be, but teaming is.

Or, you know. Staff COULD add a rule book saying what rules murder has. It would be a full list of all bannable offences that murder has. Not a part of like E.S with No Griefing. The rule book would be in game in murder where if someone is unsure about the murder rules, they can check that.

Agreed, its so annoying. Say if there is a group of friends online playing with each other on murder. They would just tell each other who their identity is and if one of them is the murderer, they could just kill everyone but their friends, making the rounds long and boring for the other players.

I think we can conlude this thread as this:

Players team because they think they can't be banned for it - why? They should know cause it is, but why don't they?

Cause of ghosting - ghosting isnt bannable. So teamers believe that teaming isnt bannable either.

Like Fox said, the best we can do is put a book into the murder lobby hotbar or even a board in the murder lobby that addresses these rules.

Also, as an extra idea, there could be the idea that a staff member could post a thread on here that recaps murder rules.
