New Gametype Escape

My Idea
It is an work in Progress title but basically one player is picked to be on, and everyone else has to escape the building or whatever the map is in a certain amount of time.

Player Roles
Guard- One or two players per game and there goal is to stop people escaping the map.
Runner- They must escape the map without being caught.


How it will Work
Each game would last for around 5-10 minutes, that is how long the Runners to escape the map while the Players who are the Guards have to defend the exit and kill all the Runners. The Runners can not PVP or break blocks, they just have to escape. The maps will be fairly intricate, with various secrete passages or tunnels to escape also there should be various routes. All runners get one life and if they escape they get coins as a reward, first to escape gets bonus coins and if the Player who is the guard does not let any one past before the game ends they win and get coins as a reward, coins can be put towards cosmetics and other perks (armour/hats.)

Rule Breakers
Rule breakers are everywhere unfortunately but things that are not allowed are any external mods like mini maps that allow players the see other players on the map. Obviously things such as flying and other standard hacks should not be allowed either.

How many exits will be there?
What will happen if the guard just camps one spot?
For spectator chat, will it be like murder where dead people cant talk to alive people?
Depending on the amount of Exits. How many different paths can people take to get to an exit?
 
I must say, it seems a little vague for a 10 minute game. But what do Runners start with? What do guards start with? Where do the runners and guards start?

Well the would be multiple exits, two or three to avoid camping so they have to move to cover as many exits as possible and there will be many different routs to get to any exit but they wont be clear path it is like a giant maze, however it is in the form of escaping in a building, or what ever the map is.

Yes it will be like murder chat to avoid cheating.

But what do Runners start with? What do guards start with?
Runners will start with nothing they will just need to escape however a guard will have a iron sword to kill the runners with, so there is a chance for a runner to escape from guard if they encounter each other and it is not an instant death situation.

Also, what about hunger levels? Will they always be max, so you can regen and continuesly sprint? Or will the Runners be able to find food around the map

I think it would be good for Runners to start on half hunger so they should only sprint for a limited amount of time and after they use up all there hunger they cant re-generate it back after they loose it

I don't know.., it seems a bit basic for a 10 minute game? Maybe add some more detail so that people will consider implementing :)

Yes i definitely will, i know it seams basic so i will elaborate in a few days/weeks time, so i have more time to think about the idea, and can enplane it in more detail.

I don't think this would work as a gametype, I see this being better off as a party game, in my opinion.

I don't really know how I feel about this game really. It just reminds me of murder, but instead the runners have to get to a certain place.

How will the guard kill the runners? Can the roles get any specific power ups to help them win the game? Can they buy armour or better weapons once they have coins?

The Guards have red leather armour and runners will have blue leather armour also guards will have diamond swords.

Within the map the runners can find things like swiftness potions, or invisibility potions, slowness potions, etc, which they can use to help them escape or hinder the guards or other runners.

Can they buy armour or better weapons once they have coins?
They can buy cosmetics such as hats for the runners and guards.
You will also be able to buy armour upgrades.
Similarly to murder, you can by an upgrade to get a bow and a single arrow (for you guard preset) and you can buy more upgrades to get more arrows.

It just reminds me of murder
It is different to murder because you know who the guards are, you need to sneak past them without them killing you, you have no way of killing the guards and you don't need to figure out who the murderer is.
