So this story. Is all true. It is so weird.
That it triggers me. I dont even know why. So i put a trigger warning up just in case. So yep. Also a cringe warning. Because, if you dont cringe at this... i dont know.... I'm mostly writing this because Artists In Our Own Way chpt. 4 was supposed to come out today, but an error occoured...
So when i was 5 years old. I was in primary, the first year of it, Junior Infants. And it was March *i think* and me and my dad decided, to drive down to the park. When we got there, i automatically ran in and bounced over to the slide. I went down like 700 times until moving on.
Do you know that spinny thing? The thing you find in a lot of parks, where people sometimes run on it to make it move and try not to fall off? It looks like a donut with 4 little grips on it. 3 orange/red 1 green? Well i went to run on that.
Now i was a queen at it. And so I thought, "Hey! I should let me an dmy dad run as fast as we can on it at the same time!! Woohoo, smart idea me!" And so i asked my dad. "Haha sure." He chuckled. (Well, thats what i remember him saying.) And so i went on first, running top speed. It wasnt going that fast, but back then it was faster the light to me. So then my dad joined.
Andsuddenly i felt it going to fast and FLEW off it. I was okay though. But the second i tried to move, MY DAD FLEW ONTOP OF ME.
Now he bounced up, laughing. And i specifically remember him saying "Ahah you broke my fall, are you okay?"
And i was just lying down, on my back like "ow" and started laughing my head off. No tears. Like what the hell? I cry at stubbing my toe and didnt cry when my dad fell ontop of me at age 5. Anyway, my dad asked could i get up, but nope i just flopped up and flopped back down. Still laughing. Now my dad KNEW something was wrong then. And so, he lifted me up and RAN to the car. He puts me, LYING down across the back seat with NO seatbelts across me. And drives up the hill into my estate to my house. Why? He forgot his phone.
No before i continue. Im going to point out. My dad has done medical courses for his job. So why did he do what he did? I dont know actually, he never told me. Anyway....
So he drove up, yells for my mom and my moms just like "You idiot" and hops into the car.
When we got to the hospital we were rushed into the front because i did not look well and they knew something bad happened. So we met a doctor soon after arrival.
They had to chop my pants off me.. and then gave me an x-ray. Where it was confirmed i broke my Femur. Now. Most people get bandages and crutches right? Well i was the unlucky one who broke a specific area on my femur so i had to get a surgery to stick a METAL bar though my leg.... and so there i was. In a bed. With a metal bar going through my leg, hanging up in the air. God i hated it. And they had to change the wool covering the blood from where the bar was sticking in. God that was PAINFUL. And i remember how painful it was, watching other kids run around the play area infront of me.... damn i remember how bored i got. But. Since i missed/was going tk miss so much school they gave me a laptop to do my work on. Lmao. The reason i got mc btw. Is because of that laptop they gave me. Because damn, i found youtube because of it.
Anyway. After that painful month and a half, i was put in a wheelchair.... for even longer. I couldnt go to school in it. It was a little bit to big. But i do remember going in on the last day for a few hours, to say hi.
Omg i hated it. People ran up to me saying "omg, can i have a go?" And "can i touch your leg?!"
lol. No.
Anyway (again), i got out of the wheelchair after about a month. I used to have to get a new patch everyday. So daily trips to the hosptial and all that. But once i got out of the wheelchair,i learnt to walk again. Litreally took me 10 akward minutes or more x3
I still have the scars from that metal bar. And im not proud of it xD. One day i'll post a picture of that. One day.
