I don't know if it's just me or does anyone here is having the problem while logging in with typos because they didn't notice they typed the wrong letter/symbol.

So my suggestion is to add a 'Show Password' button next to the password area. This wouldn't make much of a difference other than the log-in area getting a little bigger.

You know, certain browsers already do this (on windows, if you like Edge for some reason.)

I don't see where this could be an issue other than:

A: If Xenforo doesn't support it.
or
B: It could weakly compromise security.

It should be implemented, although you can just hit "Stay logged in" and it solves this issue.
Sometimes someone make typos that they didn't notice because the password that they are typing is hidden "******". Yes I know the 'Stay Logged In' can solve it but my idea can still be useful for some people.

Good idea. Few concerns though. What if there is someone sitting next to you, I pressed Show Password, next minute, the person sitting next to me sneakily looks at my screen and steals my password. This is the part it gets messed up. It's not likely to happen but what if it does happen? You'd probably say like change your password but this may happen multiple times.

If you were to go outside, you are most likely not logging-in because, it's a public area in the first place. You would log-in your account at your home.
Second, who would let someone see their password in the first place? That's messed up. If you were in a public area logging-in an account, you would most likely cover your device so no one would see your account details.

But if someone manages to get your password with the 'Show Password Button', it's definitely not my problem. It's the user's problem.

Not trying to be mean or anything.

Ah true. I guess this could be useful, although quite unnecessary (and then comes in Sean with his implementation of unnecessary features . . .)

What does this have to do with my saying? I'm talking about if someone sits next to me at home. You would usually never login outside because there is no connection out there to the website

There's a kind of 'Show Password' feature on some sites where when clicked, it flashes the text for a brief instant, just enough that someone looking at the screen from the front is able to see. Possibly something like said feature can be used.

A solution to this, is to just not press the "Show Password" option. I don't think it's a very big problem for this not be implemented.

This would be useful for me, because I mess up on my password quite often due to my fat fingers.

+1 (Voted)

You didn't specify the exact location to your first statement so I just assumed that tour talking about a public area. Well my bad. Also some people already answered some valid answers for your problem.
