I was writing something in a book and quill in creative and then i got kicked for being afk. I think that the server should either fix this or change it so that you don't get kicked for being afk in creative.

Aactually, it's there for a good reason.
Creative only has limited slots, so people being AFK just fills it up. Makes it sucky for others who want in when Creative's full.

As said above, there are very limited spots in Creative.
Ranks have saved spots and a lot of defaults would join creative, but since Creative is full, they'd be unable to do so.
I understand this is annoying, but a lot of other people would like to join creative too.

I had a problem similar to this, but it wasn't because I was AFK, but it was because I signed a book and quill. If that's what you meant, then +1, but if you meant you were kicked for being AFK, the server has this for a reason so -1

He's saying that he was writing in a book n quill and the server considered it as being "AFK".

-1 as this feature was implemented to stop lag and stuff like that when Creative is busy.
Also, this links into why 'Afk Pools' or anything amongst that context are banned from Creative.

And you're ELITE, so you could easily join back into Creative, if you see where I'm coming from, and rewrite the book~and~quill, unless it was a very long message, then I feel sorry for you lol.

If afk people were left alone, as said above, there would probably end up be a large amount of people quitting PZ. Creative is generally about half of the server's population at most given moments. But if live, active players are being shoved away by a swarm of afk's, the population will probably decay quickly.

So instead of this change, I suggest setting a 13 minute timer, and every time you enter your book, you start the timer. When the timer goes off, save and exit the book, move around to avoid being afk kicked

Rinse and repeat.

A good suggestion. Genuinely, people could put in the effort rather than complaining and expecting it to be fixed only for their benefit. It's unfair the majority of the time and the minority of people who are AFK and get kicked, it's their own fault; you can't complain, it's for the purposes of PZ running smoothly.

Thank you for your suggestion. However after thorough review, the team has decided this will not be implemented.

A system that notifies a player a few times before an AFK kick has already been implemented, and will prompt the player to move around to avoid the kick. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me via private message.
