I find it very irritating if I can't reply to someone because I'm in Murder or if I need to message a member of staff if someone is breaking the rules -this would fix this problem.

+1
Again "if I can't reply to someone" simply go to hub and message them. Not trying to be one of those people but just it's 2 steps go to hub and message them. There is very limited time and do you think you can message someone in 10 seconds. Sure saying I am in murder yet you could also just go to hub and talk with them about what ever the conversation is about.

Yes, however it would be more convenient. Plus, say you were on the stream or something like that, if you left to message someone you probably wouldn't be able to return.

I do get the reasoning. Yet I dont see the need to Implement it. +1 :/ useless yet why not lol

This is pointless. For all the reasons stated above.

I have some friends that I like to talk to of the helper variety. However I am usually in murder when this happens, it's a shame I can't already message said friends when I am in the murder lobby +1

Pointless but why not? I came to this conclusion and really why not add a simple little thing? Even if it something so pointless it can be useful.
To eliminate ghosting, teaming etc. Why give players a chance to break the rules?

They can't be break the rules :/ the idea is only for the murder lobby. Reread the idea might not be in there yet that is what it is no defence argument in anyway can be found. So again why not?

I'm saying you can do it in the Murder Lobby and that you can only message staff if needed. Though I also think you should communicate with players only OUTSIDE of Murder. That wouldn't be considered ghosting or teaming.

I don't understand how this will contribute to ghosting?
If players were allowed to /msg in the lobby it'd be more useful than not for the following reasons;
  • I wouldn't have to leave the lobby to message someone back.
I have many friends who always message me during lobby games, it's difficult for people to continuously leave and join new games just so players would be able to msg back a player.
  • It doesn't do any harm.
Players aren't able to ghost while /msg in the lobby, before the game exists.

I don't see a problem with this, so +1

I'm trying to say like banning words or phrases like: "The murderer is _______" or "I'm the murderer"
People find a way around this like saying just their game name and saying like "Mur Ish ___" Cause I use ish sometimes instead of is and I know a lot of people that do that as well xD

Not to mention, friends could use codenames for things.

I think we're missing the point of /msg only being able to be used in the lobby

As Aminuh said, I think y'all are missing the point that we can only message in the Murder Lobby before the game starts. I don't know how or why everyone's mixing up all of the players' opinions which is making them disagree to this suggestion.

Where: In the Murder Lobby
When: Before the game starts.
Command: /tell [username] [message]

(And others who don't know how this can be implemented)

You can reread the thread, or see more information above from players who understand it well :)

*shrug* bypasses can and will happen either way. The intentions are pure, but there is a final chapter of a possible situation here.
