Palmer and River get off of the bus, River checks her watch and it's 6:59, the school starts at 8:00. River shows Palmer and he laughs. They see two people coming off of the bus and introduce themselves, their names are 'Nixon' and 'Sydney'. { @Niixonn just got Helper, congratz buddy!} The four of them chat for awhile about what sport they play and what their schedule looks like, Nixon has 4th period with Palmer, River, and Sydney! What a coincidence! They are all celebrating when they see 3 people coming out of the bus laughing, one with a Hockey stick, one with a knife and one with a tennis racket, Palmer introduces himself to the one with a tennis racket. His name is Joe. Joe introduces Palmer to the two other kids, their names are Aaron and Elian, and soon they're all friends. They go to school altogether and they see a lot of kids looking at them weirdly because it's the first day of school and they already made a lot of friends. Everyone goes their separate ways except Joe and Palmer, they both have math together. '3/8 X 5/8 = ?' says the teacher, her name is Mrs. Kalven. No one raises their hand expect Joe and Palmer. 'Wow you guys don't know this stuff?' says Palmer. Palmer gets in trouble and gets detention but he talks his way out of it. When class is over a lot of people give him a fist bump because he got out of detention and that is apparently hard to do.
Nixon goes to science class, he sleeps through most of it until someone taps him on the shoulder. He wakes up and he's circled by a bunch of people who look like they should be in college. 'Whats going on here?' asks Nixon as he grabs his backpack. They just look at him. Nixon runs, he runs as fast as he can. They don't chase after him, they slowly walk towards him. Nixon puts his arm out and the people just pass right through him. 'Huh, projected stuff. School's way of making sure kids don't get into trouble, nice.' Nixon sees the projector and he takes out his baseball and throws it at the projector, soon the projected people soon start to fade away. Nixon laughs and leaves with a baseball in one hand and a hand without homework, he gives himself a little pat on the back.
River has Home Ec class and makes a pie. Someone comes up and tries to eat the pie but River gives him the stink eye and he slowly walks away.
Elian skips class and takes Aaron with him. 'Dude are you sure we can do this?' aska Aaron all worried. 'Yea, anyways all 7 of us have 5th period together because of the tryouts, I have money want to see a movie?' asks Elian. 'Ummm sure, what movie are you thinking?' 'Well I've heard of a new one called "The Party" want to see it?' 'Sure but how will we get there?' asks Aaron again all worried. Elian takes keys out of his pocket and smiles. Aaron doesn't have a good feeling about it. They get into a golf car. 'WOOO this is so much FUNNN!!!' screams Elian. 'This is going to be the day I die!!!' yells Aaron but Elian tels him to shush. 'Only I can scream, you're just making it not fun' says Elian but he laughs, so does Aaron. They get to the movie theater and the ticket person just gives them a ticket, not even a weird look because it's 8:10 in the morning on a school day. Aaron and Elian get seated right when the movie starts.
Sydney gets to Lunch, her lunch is way earlier than everyone's. It's only 8:10 and it's time for lunch. She sits and eats by herself, it doesn't mind her she likes to be alone at some point.
I'm not going to explain 2nd and 3rd period because it's not really necessary.
Palmer texts everyone to meet at the movie theater. Elian and Aaron are already there so it's not hard for them but everyone else has to sneak out. Luckily, there's some big teacher thingy where the teachers leave all of the kids alone and expect them to behave. Palmer, River , Joe, Nixon, Sydney make their way to the movie theater. Nixon tries to catch up with Sydney but she's talking with Palmer and he doesn't want to interrupt. They get to the movie theater and Elain screams 'WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG MY HOMIES???!!!!' 'Shush Elian!' says Palmer and he gives Elian a fist bump. 'So where are we going to go?' asks Sydney. 'Ice cream?' suggests Elian as he takes out a big wad of cash and gives everyone $10. 'Are you made out of money?' asks Aaron. He makes everyone laugh. They walk down to the ice cream store and the lady has a brain unlike the movie theater guy and she asks, 'What are you doing here kids?' Palmer is about to talk when Elian slips $200 on the counter. The woman looks at him, takes the money and asks, 'What can I get you? Today's special is free toppings!' When they get their ice cream everyone pays and the woman asks, 'I'm getting $200 PLUS $70? wow you guys are generous! Have a nice day!' 'You too bye!' says Palmer. 'Wow I was right you are fancy.' says River as she gives him a light punch in the shoulder. 'Owww the pain! River you broke my arm!' says Palmer sarcastically. 'River you're going to jail!' says Joe, he puts River on his shoulder and drops her in a tree. 'I was framed!' says River as she jumps down. They crack each other up. It's 10:45 and 5th period starts at 11:00. 'Crap guys lets go!' screams Palmer as he sprints off. Elian catches up to him and tells him to chill out. All of them get to the gym and they see hundreds of people trying out. They all find a place to sit and they wait. 'Listen up, you guys are all new here so here is the order of the try outs, first Tennis, second Combat stuff like karate or MMA and stuff like that, third softball, fourth Hockey, fifth baseball, and last or sixth knife-throwing.' says Coach. Coach blows the whistle. Joe and Palmer go down the bleachers and Sydney, Nixon , Elian , Aaron , and River cheer as loud as they can. Palmer and Joe start to blush. Only about 5 other kids get up, not a lot of tennis players. Coach needs 5 people so that means two people won't make it. Coach explains whats going to happen, he's going to hit a ball to one person and they pass it back. He decides who makes it and who doesn't make it, but if you don't make it you get another chance, you play against someone and that's you last chance. The order is Palmer, a kid named Jack, Joe, a kid named Declan, a kid named Garret, a kid named Ivan, and a kid named Caleb.
Coach hits a ball to Palmer, he hits it back perfectly, Sydney, Nixon, River, Aaron, and Elian scream like crazy, a lot of people look at them weirdly but they don't mind. Jack hits it out of Coaches reach, so much that he has to run to get it. No one claps for him expect Palmer and Joe, they feel bad for him. The clap puts a smile on his face. Coach hits the ball to Joe and it's really bad. Coach is about to say my bad but Joe gets it and hits it straight to Coach. Everyone claps, even people who don't know him. Palmer gives him a high-five. Declan hits it really good, after Joe it's the best hit so far. Garret hits it ok but it was still in Coaches reach. Ivan doesn't even hit it, he falls down but Joe helps him up. Caleb hits it really good. Coach sets everyone up. Caleb vs Declan , Joe vs Garret , Palmer vs Jack and the winner of Palmer vs Jack plays Ivan. 1st round: Declan does really well and Caleb stinks, he never gets the ball and never serves it correctly. 2nd round: Joe beats Garret 2 points by 1 point. 3rd round: Palmer hits the ball so hard that Jack can't even see it. 'Yes, that's what we're looking for!! Palmer is in no matter what!' says Coach.
4th round: Palmer vs Ivan, Ivan gets in automatically because Palmer is already in. Coach high-fives everyone and tells everyone good job. The people will be announced tomorrow.
Next try outs are Combat. Aaron, Joe, Nixon, River, Elian, and Palmer all cheer for Sydney, Nixon pats her on the back and screams 'Lets go Syd, lets go!!' Sydney smiles. 10 people come down from the bleachers, coach needs 5 people, 6 people are going to not make it. It's boys and girls, 6 girls including Sydney and 5 boys. There's Sydney, someone named Emma, someone named Emily, someone named Jax, someone named Kate, someone named Violet, someone named Ethan, someone named Reid, someone named Sebastian, someone named Alejandro, and someone named Frank. Coach said there's only 1 thing to do to get on the team, you need to fight someone. Sydney vs Emma, Emily vs Jax, Kate vs Violet, Ethan vs Reid, Sebastian vs Alejandro, Frank will play the winner of Sebastian vs Alejandro. Sydney knocks Emma out in the first 5 seconds and Coach runs up to her and says 'YOU! You have to be on my team!' Sydney smiles and watches the rest of the fights. Jax almost gets killed by Emily but then Jax found this one spot where Emily is weak and Emily tapped out. Kate is the smallest and Violet is the biggest but Kate had an advantage because Violet isn't good with small people so Kate destroyed her. Ethan gets tired really quick, but so does Reid so none of them win the round. Alejandro beats Sebastian but Frank beats Alejandro.
Next is softball, 16 kids come down from the bleachers including River. Coach needs 10 people. The people are River, Jessica, Megan, Sara, Jane, Rachel, Ellie, Karen, Lily, Lilac, Eve, Felicia, Sophia, Leah, Ashley, and Holly. Coach just needs them to throw and ball and catch a ball. River throws the ball 26ft away! She catches the ball from 100ft away! Sydney, Aaron, Elian, Joe, Nixon, and Palmer scream 'RIVER RIVER RIVER!' Jessica throws it about the same length of River but she can only catch it from 3ft away. Megan throws it terribly but she can throw like heck! Sara throws really good and catches really good. Jane is exactly the same as River. Rachel is probably the worst she throws 2ft and can only catch 2ft away. Ellie throws 30ft and she catches 40ft. Karen does the same as River. Lily does a little better than Rachel. Lilac refuses the throw and catch because she signed up for the wrong thing. Eve does a little better than River. Sophia does exactly like Eve. Leah does it a different way than everyone but Coach likes her. Ashley and Holly are probably the best there.
Next is Hockey. Coach needs 5 people, there are 10 people and their names are , Aaron, Noah , Felix, William, Joshua, Alex, Brandon, Dylan, Jake, and Blake. All you have to do is try to shoot the puck into the goal 10 times from different spots with a goalie. Aaron makes all 10 of the shots and so does Felix and Noah. William makes 3 goals. Joshua makes 9. Alex makes 8. Brandon makes 6. Dylan makes 0. Jake and Blake make 4.
Next up is knife-throwing Coach only needs 1 person because they just added that as a sport. Elian takes out his best knife and walks down t he bleachers with his friends cheering. There is 2 other people, one is a girl named Jennifer and the other is a boy named Adam. The both of them don't have knives so they look at Elian's knife like it's the best thing in the world. Coach gives the both of them some knives but they're not as good and Elian's. All you have to do is hit the target, it's 50ft away, you get 5 tries. Jennifer misses 3 times but 2 other times she hits the box, but not the target. Adam misses all 5 completely. Elain throws his knife, it hits right on target, he goes again and again and again until he's made a hole in the target. Coach looks at him with his mouth open wide. Coach finally manages to say something, 'Okay everyone, the poster will be up tomorrow have a nice day!'
