So, I'd given a person in the server my skype name to help them out with questions, etc, because they wanted to apply for helper, I sent them the link but they still asked me questions (I dont mind) nevertheless. When i asked them their age they said they were 11, they had a forums account, 27 forum points because they'd been trying hard to get them by constantly checking the forums.

They were saying stuff like "For this question.." "how would you answer question __?" Etc, then i noticed "wait how can they get on the apps, theyre 11 o.o" so i tried to get on too (im 12) and it actually logged on. Basically he didnt read the requirements right, or he thought he could get away with it somehow, even after his age was labelled on his foeums account (I wont @ for reasons of 'pointinf fingers' etc) so i think there should be an age restriction, and i know some people wont show their age, so:

1. When you first click on the app it'll ONLY show the age question, if they put anything under 13 it'll come up with the error screen.

2. If the same person comes back straight after to the app screen and fill it in as 13/13+ and then fill in the other questions, it will show up (in full app form) with TWO age questions,

(HOAY?) 11

(HOAY?) 14

(ALL THE OTHER QUESTIONS)

it might be a bit hard to do this seeing as it'd be hard to code it so it logs questions in a log forever. But it is handy, if its possible, because its also good to see who are "unreliable" or "untrustworthy"

:thumbs-up:? :):pz:

EDIT:
Either ^ or maybe if they entered it as 11 years old it'd do the 2-month wait to re-apply. Or maybe 2 month is a bit drastic for that, you guys post ideas and stuff to go with this :3

People might lie about their age in the first place, so if they know the age to be staff is 13 they will put thirteen. But maybe this could work, it just has some flaws :thumbs-up::)<3

Good idea ^^ +1
Yet the only reason I believe so don't take this 100% is that they want to bring more mature people.
...
Yet most likely the applications will be denied due to lies and possible immaturity. Many other factors

You're application would be instantly denied if staff found out you weren't the correct age.

You can't actually apply if your age on your forums account is less than 13, so there's no need for this as your account physically can't view the application. If people bypass this by lying about their age, their app will be instantly denied. Additionally if people were fine with lying about their age on their forums information, then I think they'd lie when they'd write their age into your system idea.

Dizzeh is true in this Idea.

I think 13+ year olds can be mature then younger then 12. -1

People still lie about their ages when it suits them

I agree because we can't have people that are 9 because you don't know what they can do they might ban all of the staff members and make other people staff

As a helper you can't ban all the staff or make other people staff :p

not to mention, there are probably restrictions in place to keep staff from rage banning eachother.

I know they probably don't use it, but with essentials, you would be able to exempt groups from punishments via permissions. I would think they would already have implemented that system, or a similar one.
