In this series, there's a secret world of demigods and gods. Gods have children with mortals, creating demigods (half god half human, they are not immortal but gain powers from their godly parent). Percy is just "normal" school kid until one day his teacher attacks him and he kills her with a pen sword (crazy Ik). He goes on this massive journey to the demigod camp, where he discovers who his godly parent is and such. In each book there's a new issue that arises that he has to fix. Very greek mythology, I liked it very much. The books are Percy Jackson and the: lightening thief/ sea of monsters/ titans curse/ battle of the labyrinth/ the last olympian.
Carry on series from Percy Jackson, but with new people. A boy called Jason appears in a bus, everyone knows him except his teacher who has no recollection of him. They're visiting the Grand Canyon on a school trip when some things attack and everything goes crazy and it turns out Jason knows how to fly! They go back to the camp and Jason and his two friends discover they are demigods. But where's PERCY?!?!?!? The characters from the old series and this series end up intermingling later on in the series. It's really good if you like the previous series. I read this series before I read the previous one; you can do that but it makes more sense if you read the previous one first. The books are Heroes of Olympus: the lost hero/ the son of neptune/ mark of athena/ house of hades/ blood of olympus.
Two twins who live separately, one with their grandparents and one with their father, come together when they discover they have special powers. Basically the Egyptian version of above, and it's cool because there's a reference to Percy Jackson in it. Books are called: The Red Pyramid/ Throne of Fire/ The Serpent's Shadow
Series in the middle of being made, basically the same as above but Norwegian gods. We have like Thor and stuff. Really cool. The main character is related to a main character in Percy Jackson. Books are Magnus Chase: The Sword of Summer/ The Hammer of Thor
I think it's a series in the middle of being made, but basically the god Apollo is cast down onto Earth, completely mortal. He has to go through a series of trials to gain back Zeus' "love" and become immortal again. We meet characters from Percy Jackson.
^ All Greek/Roman/Egyptian/Norwegian mythology. It didn't interest me 100% before I started reading it but after I found out that I really like Mythology, the author has a very good way of making it interesting for readers and it's quite funny actually. You learn to love all the characters, I would seriously recommend reading the first Percy Jackson book to see if you like it :)

Duh.

Not my typical reading style, but I found this book very good and very emotional. It's basically following a girl as she grows up. She meets a man for the first time when she's 6 years old, and he's like.. 36 or something. She sees him again every so often and each time he's a different age. He has the ability to time travel. When she's like.. 20-24 or something (haven't read it in a while), she meets his present self and they get married. The story continues with the male characters point of view when he continues to time travel. Very confusing at first, trying to get your head around it as it's very paradox-y, but I liked it very much :)

*breathes in hard* I read both of the Percy Jackson series then I stopped and read he mortal instruments city of bones city of glass etc etc then I read mini books in between then I read some more Cassandra Clare books then I got the clockwork series and cried my eyeballs out and now I'm re reading the first infernal device slowly since I read them too fast until I get lady midnight or any of the recommended books which I probably don't even have the money for *lets out breathe* :(:)

I added another book at the end of the list because I completely forget that I had it, and just saw them on my desk. It's another one of my favourite series'.

I thought I had listed them in the original post, but I hadn't. There's also the Infernal Devices series, the Mortal Instruments series and another series after that that I forgot the name of. The infernal devices is set in the 19/20th century, the Mortal instruments is set now and the new one is set a few years in the future from now. It's a world where there's a shadow world; there are the light side (shadow hunters, who are half angel half human) and the downworlders (vampires/ warlocks/ faeries/ werewolves). It's a really good fantasy series that you should read.

:)
I think the Wildwood series by Colin Meloy is magnificent, it's about a girl named Prue who's baby brother gets abducted by a murder of crows and taken into the Impassable Wilderness, which no one has been able to get into. Except for her, and her friend Curtis. They get wrapped up in this fantastical adventure, and I love the series a lot.
Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick was good, I think it's in a series. It's about drama, romance, more drama, and fallen angels. Basically a stereotypical teenage-girl romance novel, but I really enjoyed it...because of the fallen angel part.
The Little Friend by Donna Tartt is probably my favorite thing ever, honestly. It's about a girl named Harriet, who twelve years after the murder of her brother Robin, decides to go find the murderer. It's just so descriptively and enchantingly written.
