Your Fish Tank
So I love reading and I wanted to share all of these book titles with you, that aren't necessarily popular books. I have many many books at my house, so these are only a few that I wanted to share. In each spoiler there's a little summary/blurb of the book so you can read it if you're interested. Books with a * next to them are my favourite books, and you should at least borrow them from the library! <3 GIVE THEM A CHANCE

Single books:

A race of aliens travel to many different planets throughout the universe. They come to Earth and take over people's bodies to experience what life is like on Earth. One alien, Wanda, takes over a girl's body however the girl still has the ability to think. In the book, Wanda visits a secret human hide out in a desert of America, with the help of the girl's thoughts. They find the secret hideout and Wanda has to learn how to interact with the humans her species invaded. In turn, Wanda tells stories to the humans, how other planets were, what she's experienced and how the aliens don't mean any harm. She deals with hatred, anger, violence, but she learns to make many friends and even develops a crush on someone.
David is transgender and longs to be a girl. Only his two friends are supportive of him, but the rest of the school doesn't seem to understand. Leo is a new kid; he recently moved to a new school. He stands up for David in a fight and they form an unlikely friendship. David learns with Leo's help how to accept himself- herself, for who she really is. Many surprises appear in the book when people can't hold secrets...
Basically there's another book called "Fangirl" and the girl in that book spends her free time writing a fan fiction, which is this book. This novel is very similar to Harry Potter and I would recommend it if you like magic and spells and stuff. The main character is convinced his roommate is a vampire, but he's not allowed to say anything and can't hurt his roommate without the threat of him being thrown out of school. Despite being from a supposed non-magical family, Simon is one of the most powerful magicians in the world. He spends his school time fighting monsters and fighting off the evil beings that are attempting to kill him. Along the way, he learns he may have a small crush with a special someone...

In a series:
Tessa is a variant. She has a special ability and belongs in a secret part of the FBI, where variants work. She has the ability to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and turn into their appearance. She works along side many other variants with different powers; super strength, invisibility, mind reading, persuasion... When a serial killer appears in a small town, Tessa is sent out to investigate, under the appearance of a local teenager who had been attacked by the killer. While she learns how to settle in with her fake family, the investigation turns out to be much more horrific than she imagined and it turns out that she's not the only variant in town... (Second book - Defector)
One of my all time favourite series; in a world where magic used to be prized thing, it was harshly taken away from everyone and all the magic disappeared in the country, all magic users thrown into prisons and slave organisations. At the beginning of the novel, Celena is in the world's most harshest prison; she had been trapped and arrested, called the "Ardalan's assassin", seeking revenge against the people who killed her parents. She's taken to the King's palace, and told she may be free if she partakes in a series of challenges against other contestants. The winner will become a special member of the King's guard. The book is all about love, action and crime. (Other books in the series - Heir of Fire, Crown of Midnight, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms) The series has an interesting twist throughout it and focuses on other things. In the later books, she makes many new friends, devises new criminal plans and attempts to save the world and get her country back. SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND READING, LIKE SERIOUSLY.
Written by the same lady who wrote the previous book, this is another one of my favourite series' of all time. In this book, magical beings took over the human world, forcing them to go South while they flourished in the North, with only a wall separating the two species'. Feyre is a human living in a small run down house with her poor family. She used to be rich until her dad made a bad business mistake, forcing them all to become poor. Her sisters still under the illusion they're rich, do not work and don't help Feyre, and her father has an injured leg. Feyre is forced to hunt for her family so she can survive. One day she's in the woods and spots a big wolf, and after a few tense moments, she shoots it with a bow and arrow. A few days later, a man appears at her doorstep and takes her away from her family, erasing their memories of the incident. She's taken North and forced to stay with the faerie Lord, who was the master of the wolf she had killed. The faerie is the Lord of the Spring Court, others being Summer, Winter, Autumn, Day and Night Courts. Feyre learns to live with her new lifestyle, unable to escape. The book is full of action, drama and love and I would strongly recommend it! (Second book - A Court of Mist and Fury)
In this book, there's a secret world of vampires. Rose is a dhampir, half vampire half human, and her princess friend Lissa, is a Moroi, full vampire. As a dhampir, Rose has a duty of looking after Moroi. Rose and Lissa attend a school; Rose learns how to attack and defend herself and her friend, while Lissa learns how to control her powers. As a Moroi, she has the ability to control one of the elements, but her ability hasn't become prominent yet, which it should have. The book follows Rose as she learns the hardships of an unfair world, friendship issues and how to deal with a forbidden crush. (Other books in the series - Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound, Last Sacrifice)
Written by the same lady above, this series follows the point of view of two characters from the previous book's world. Sydney is an alchemist, a human who knows about the vampire world and protects the humans. She's assigned to look after Moroi princess along with other vampire characters we met in the previous book. Sydney learns how to deal with her emotions; she's been taught to hate vampires her entire life and has trouble getting her mind around the fact that the vampires she's guarding are nice. This book is all about magic, vampires, love and action. (Other books in the series - The Golden Lily, The Indigo Spell, The Fiery Heart, Silver Shadows, The Ruby Circle) You don't ***need*** to read the previous series to understand this, but it makes a little bit more sense and this book contains spoilers if you read this one first then the other series.
In this book, Kaz is a 17 year old criminal mastermind. He gathers 5 other members of different backgrounds with the intention of breaking into the world's best guarded prison. No one has ever escaped from the prison, but Kaz was given an offer of a lifetime to break into the prison and steal a man. This man held the knowledge on how to create a potion that could enhance the magical powers of people. This book deals with action, love and a lot of crime. (Second book - Crooked Kingdom)
This is a dystopian (future) book, set after World War 4. It's such a unique book, in which it's not just some random poor girl who revolts against the unfair government or whatever, I love it so much. This book is set in the future when people took over the moon and cyborgs exist; just humans who have robotic implantations from accidents. One girl, Cinder, who lives in the Eastern Commonwealth (as we know it, China) works in a mechanic store. She's the best mechanic in New Beijing, which is mostly due to her being a cyborg; she has a computer in her brain and can download blueprints and access the internet easily. One day she meets the Prince of the Commonwealth, who needs her help to fix his android (robot), as the royal mechanics don't know what's wrong with her. But that's not the only issue; a disease is spreading around the human world, killing off humans and cyborgs alike. No one has managed to find a cure yet. Cinder is forced to be a test subject by her stepmother to cure the disease, but she quickly finds out she's immune... (Other books in the series: Scarlet/ Cress/ Winter) It's a really good book, like really really really really really good!

There aren't that many recommendations here because most of the series have like 50000 books going with them. Feel free to comment your own recommendations!

I can't think of any books even though I have only a few

I love Richelle Mead's books. I also have the whole series of Throne of Glass but haven't gotten round to reading it yet. I agree with the recommendations, Rainbow Rowell is also a great author.

I wasn't going to suggest Percy Jackson because it's popular, but it's a good series along with the next series Heroes of Olympus, the Egyptian version "The Kane Chronicles" and the new Norwegian series that I have the books of but have forgotten the titles sadly.

All of Sarah J Maas's books and Richelle Mead's are great.
There's also a series called Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch that is really good (to do with the seasons being kingdoms e.g. Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumm) as well as the Spooks Apprentice, and the Elementals by Michelle Madow (which follows Greek mythology and demigods as well.)

13 Treasures. It's about fairies, but it isn't your average Fairy Story. It shows that not all fairies are good.
Warrior Cats all the way o/
(13 Treasures is a trilogy. The next books are 13 Curses and 13 Secrets, probably my second favorite books after Warrior Cats)

Books I would recommend:
Legend Trilogy (Legend, Prodigy & Champion)
The Selection Series (The Selection, The Elite & The One)
Hush, Hush Series (Hush Hush, Crescendo, Silence & Finale)

Also, the Norse mythology book that @Dizzeh mentioned is Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer. I just finished reading it!
