You can just all agree not to use Golden Apples if you all hate them? I didn't say it had to be just you who didn't use them. Not all PvP servers use Golden Apples.

Who is making the red herrings now though? The majority of pvp comes from factions servers that update to 1.9 and pvp servers- which stay at 1.8 for a reason. And those 1.9 servers are potion and god apple based. So basing the pvp on those small scenarios where no one has golden apples is not logical. And even ignoring golden apples its still agreed that it isnt a good update because it completely changes the style for the worse. Hence the servers staying 1.8.
 
I really hated the combat updates it makes pvp so much harder
