If you didn't know, Minecraft 1.11 is coming out on September 25th, 2016.

I don't really like how shields are stronger though :C

1.9-1.11 all suck.
You're welcome.

1.10 should never have happened.
Does Mojang even know how decimals work?!
Once you get to 1.9 if you add 0.1 it becOMES 2.0!
THIS is all because Microsoft bought Mojang and Microsoft can't count!

Keep in mind that they didn't have a ton of new things for 1.10, but they still wanted to release what they had. It would be pointless to call it MINECRAFT 2.0 AYYY and only add a few new features. I think they're going to save 2.0 for a very large update. Whether or not that'll be soon, I'm sure it will add a lot.

1.9-1.11 all suck.
You're welcome.

The update that fixed the modern problems of PvP sucks? Alright, feel free to go back to 1.8 anytime, buddy. :)

I stayed in 1.8. Also, it didn't fix many problems, in fact the new system is what i dislike about it.

That's your opinion, and that's fine. I've talked to lots of people who dislike the new PvP system.

I personally enjoy it because it changes PvP from a battle of spam-clicking to a competition requiring timing and strategy. I also think it made hostile mobs a bit more difficult to defeat, and I applaud that.

Once again, you can choose to dislike 1.9+, and that's fine. I'm just stating my opinion as we all are.

The old PvP system required more than that.
It was mostly movement based.
If it was just spamclicking based there would be no differences in ability.
I admit 1.9 isn't as bad. I like combos, but all the other additions, along with making the axe the weapon equivalent of an 18 wheeler, aren't so good.

I've never been a really big fan of 1.9+ PvPwise, but blockwise I love it. 1.9 may destroy some aspects of the old way of PvP, but at least it includes new blocks I can build with.

1.9, the PvP update, single-handedly made it so pvp servers didnt update. Which is ironic since you can hold things with two hands in the update.

I dont think the update should of happened at all. As someone who loved the pvp idea sees no benefit in this. They turned a fast paced battle into one of timing. Nobody was looking for that. And while some people like it, their target audience was the pvp community (hence the update name) and yet they ruined it. The players who prefer it are the ones who not only struggled with the initial pvp, but dont play for pvp either.

Ok im done with my rant. Im not looking forward to the update personally (not only because i havent played in a while), because the things most updates change dont really affect me much. Unless they add things like new mobs which i'm all for. Otherwise im not a builder so blocks dont affect me and ive done my share of survival. So idk, ill see what it has in store.

See the problem is that PvPers from 1.8 are mad because now people with actual brains can fight and win against them

So i'm assuming you're in that group of players who couldn't do it before. It has nothing to do with "brains", last time i checked it isn't exactly hard to click with a sword and hide behind a shield. But it isn't enjoyable either when golden apples can actually keep you alive practically indefinitely in a fight because the shield reduces the damage while you heal. It just wasn't a logical choice to make, and its why there are plenty of servers that stay on 1.8 even though we are almost on 1.11.

I do agree and that brains thing was a joke but my main point is that I like it lol

It's actually because we all spent up to 1.8 learning how to PvP a certain way then they screwed everything up by changing it.
"Everyone has to relearn it."
It's much harder to relearn something once you've learned how to do it a previous way.
Your mind is conditioned to specific movements.
The people that just joined are learning it from scratch and will have an easier time learning than the people who put the time and effort into learning the old ways.

If they did a minecraft 2.0 that would sound like a total new game

EVERYONE HATES THE 1.9 "PVP UPDATE". well pvp-wise anyway. No one likes that there is a "cooldown" between swinging your sword, and like mentioned before, shields are too op and REGULAR, yes REGULAR golden apples are like 10x better than the old golden apple. And here is the thing, servers that have pvp, ARE UPDATING TO 1.9+ ONLY. Like cubecr[bleep], i want to play egg {BLEEP] so bad, yet it is 1.9+ only, and prob by now 1.10 only. AND ALL EGG [BLEEP] IS IS PVP. LIKE WTF. I HATE 1.9 AND 1.10 LIKE EVERY PVP'ER EVER IN THE UNIVERSE. wait why are we ranting here, i am gonna make a thread just for people who want to rant about 1.9+. WELL THERE I GO

I like that there's a cooldown. I don't hate 1.9 PvP. In case you've forgotten, Golden Apples aren't part of every single PvP battle. You're using a common logical fallacy called a red herring, a comment or sentence that attempts to direct the attention away from the original topic. Golden Apples aren't part of every PvP battle, therefore it's not completely relevant. If you don't want to use Golden Apples, you don't have to.

I'm also pretty sure there's a way to disable the cooldown using commands (possibly /gamerule), but I haven't tested it out, nor have I heard about it in a long time. It could be a rumor, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mojang has already added it (or will add it later).
