Its very hard to get the YouTube rank. I'm a unpopular Yter (Yt Channel: Husky The Dinosaur) with only about 30 subs. I like the part that the person has to post a video on this server but I hate the amount of sub thing... So please get rid of that amount of Sub part of getting the YT rank. Like if you like my idea!
 
But if there isn't a minimum amount of subs anyone could make one video on the server and get a rank. If that happened there would probably be hundreds of YouTube ranks clouding the server
 
As mentioned above, if there isn't a minimum amount of subs anyone could make a video on the server and get a rank (As @_SnowWolf_ has mentioned). Maybe they could lower the amount of subs to be able to get the YouTuber rank to 5,000 or 1,000. Honestly, I think 10,000 is fine.

Btw the time I have 10,000 subs I probably will be applying for staff. The Min amount of sub thing is just a waste of time
 
For the rank it should honestly be higher. If you think about it, people with 10k subs, nonetheless those who play Minecraft don't get many views. Minecraft just doesn't cut it for YT anymore, or so thats what the YT community says through views. iJevin has 336k subscribers and racks in under 1k views every video in four hours. That isn't a lot. It just goes to show the nearly dead Minecraft community. Of course extremely large youtubers still manage to get plenty of views (ie CaptainSparklez).
Plus the more subs, then the higher your videos get put in search results and they appear more in recommendations, giving you exposure.
What I'm trying to say is the 10k subs requirement is a must because of exposure. If they made someone with anything under that the rank, then the truth is it would be a waste of a spot because of the lack of exposure the videos would be getting.

then why does mordug (look him up on yt) with 7k subs have the rank?

If anyone with around 30 subs could get the YouTube rank, then it would be useless. The rank's supposed to stand out from the regular ranks, not be given out needlessly to people with a small amount of subs.

I think 10,000 subscribers is a fair amount, as it can bring a wide range of minecraft players to the Network. Isn't the whole point of a YouTuber rank to advertise in some fun way? Those with that many subscribers can indicate dedication and being well known. Personally I think the subscriber count should be increased, possibly to 50,000. This is because these people can really make a difference to the network. However some may disagree due to a variety of reasons.

TL;DR: 10,000 Subsribers is a good amount for a YouTuber rank because it shows dedication to the network, as well as attracting new members to the community.​

If they didn't impose a restriction on the minimum amount of subs for YT rank itself, EVERYONE would be walking around with a YT rank

As that's been mentioned multiple times, the subscriber count is necessary otherwise a significant amount more people would be having the YT rank. While 10k is a lot of subscribers, there's a reason for that high number.
