(So how this is going to work is I'll be using this thread to update each chapter via spoiler, that way I wont have to constantly make new threads to update it. I got this method from @Uncivil and her story Massacre, which is really good btw. So this story is going to be based off Danganronpa, an anime/video game. Obviously everything won't be the same and some things will be cut short to keep this from being extremely long.)
Rena clutches the small piece of parchment in her hand, taking deep breaths as she stands before the grand building before her. A shining golden emblem is settled at the very top of the structure, its face of windows looming over her. This was it, Hopes Peak Academy. Rena had been thinking about this for months, and was both excited and terrified. Hopes Peak Academy is an Academy for the extremely gifted and talented. The students here are so exemplary, they've been given the title "Ultimate." Rena, however, is not one of these Ultimates. In fact, there really isn't anything special about her. She won a full-time scholarship to Hopes Peak through a lottery, so here she is. She is obviously intimidated, as she is just a normal girl getting ready to study with Ultimates. However, she swallows her fear and steps inside the school. However, as she does, a wave of fatigue hits her, her limbs going limp, eyes closing, as she falls to the floor, unmoving.

As Rena opens her eyes, she sits up from her position on the floor and stands on wobbly legs. From what she can tell she's in a room made of mostly metal or steel, with no windows, and a large, metallic door that takes up the entire wall. In front of the door, are a horde of students, most likely the Ultimates. One of the members of the group, a short boy with dark brown hair, seems to sense her movements and directs his attention to her.
"The last one's alive." He says, nodding toward Rena's direction. The heads all turn, eyes locked onto the small girl a few feet away. A girl with purple and brown hair pushes through the crowd to look at the awoken girl.
"Oh thank god, I thought she was dead!" She breathes a sigh of relief.
"If she were, that would just save us time." A boy mutters, his face, arms, and legs are completely black with light white stripes.
"Hush up Kraetys." Another girl pipes up, her gray hair falling in her eyes. "Not the time."
The students start to bicker, and Rena decides to speak up.
"Um, where are we?" She asks.
"Who knows?" Another girl with brown hair shrugs. "Pretty sure we're still in the Academy though."
"Maybe there was a threat and they put us down here?" Another female voice suggests, this one having raven black hair and golden eyes.
"It's pointless to try and make sense of the situation now. We'll just have to wait for some sort of announcement." The striped boy, who's name is apparently Kraetys, interjects. "We should all introduce ourselves to the newcomer here, she seems quite confused."
"Y-Yeah..." Rena mumbled, her mind whirling. "Er, I'm Rena."
"I'm Gabby!" The girl with the multicolored hair shouts. "I'm the Ultimate Fangirl!"
"Fangirl?" Rena says, puzzled.
"Yep. My specialty is fangirling. But to a whole new level! All the rooms in my house are each dedicated to one individual band or singer. I get new fandom items every day!"
"Uh... Wow." Rena blinks, pretty speechless at this point.
"You're all making fools of yourselves, really." Kraetys shakes his head. "As you could tell I'm Kraetys, the Ultimate Scientist."
"And I'm Ari, the Ultimate Racer! I've won eight hundred gold trophies for car racing. The speed is life!" The girl with the brown hair chirps.
"And I'm Eden, the Ultimate Witch." The gray haired girl says. "But don't be scared of me, I use my powers for good and not evil."
"And I am Aiden, the Ultimate Ninja." The short dark haired boy nods gently.
"I'm Absol, the Ultimate Pokemon Master!" Absol cries, her gold eyes shimmering. "N-Not in real life of course but... Yeah."
"And I'm Bheryl, the Ultimate Assassin." A girl with bright purple hair says, grinning from ear to ear. "And this is my boyfriend Zan, the Ultimate Artist, and my friend Mor, the Ultimate Quoter."
"Pleased to meet you!" Mor says happily.
The other students were Sam, the Ultimate Romantic, Dizbey, the Ultimate Sheep Herder, and a boy in the back, with brown curly hair who stood to the side, not saying anything.
"Oh, him?" Aiden shrugs. "We got him to tell us he's the Ultimate Grunge, but that's all we could get out of him."
Rena eyes the boy suspiciously. When he glances at her his eyes widen and he turns away.
The sudden bell tolls, and an announcement is made.
"All students of Hopes Peak Academy please report to the gym at this time."

The students all look around at each other and simply shrug their shoulders. They all head up the stairs, Rena trailing a bit behind, feeling extremely suspicious.
We all woke up with no recollection of what happened beforehand. What could have happened? She ponders.. Before she can think about it anymore she feels a hand on her shoulder. She jumps and looks over to her side, only to see Bheryl's grinning face.
"Why're you staying so far behind Renah?" She asks.
"Er, uh, no reason really." Rena babbles, a bit intimidated by the Ultimate Assassin. But Bheryl only chuckles and pinches Rena's cheek.
"You are adorable little Renah. Don't worry, I won't let anyone hurt you." She says. Rena pulls Bheryl's hand from her face.
"Uh, thanks." She mutters, rubbing her cheek.
"Let's catch up!" Bheryl grabs Rena by the arm and drags her forward, while Rena pleads with her to slow down.
They reach the gymnasium quickly. Bheryl releases Rena's arm and Rena hunches over, panting. Once Rena regains her composure she takes a look around the gym. Her eyes widen, surprised how large it is. Even with all the students spread about you could still probably fit about 300 more students into the room. It was then Rena realized that her class was much too small. Where were the other students?
"Bout time you guys got here." Sam groans. Dizbey stands next to him, petting a lamb that Rena didn't notice before.
"Actually you never told us what Ultimate you are Rena." Gabby says. Rena shrugs her shoulders.
"Uh, I'm not an Ultimate. I just got here through a lottery." She admits, feeling embarrassed.
"Wow, a normal person? What luck you must have." Kraetys laughs.
"Don't be so hard on her." The other boy, the Ultimate Grunge, speaks up.
"It was only a joke. But hey, it got you talking." Kraetys smirks. The quiet boy only scoffs and turns his head away again.
"Not like I really care." Rena says, masking her embarrassment. "I'm just happy to be here."
"I think I'm gonna like you." Sam says, grinning.
"Excuse me! Attention here!" Says a squealing, high pitched voice. The students all glance around, searching for the source.
"Up here dummies!"
The students look up, and notice the giant, very out of place stage in the gym. Suddenly, a black and white bear hops up onto the stage.
"Sheesh, can't you guys follow simple orders?" The voice says, seemily coming from the bear.
"Wait, how is that stuffed animal talking?!" Excliams Dizbey. The bear chuckles.
"Upupupu. I'm not a stuffed toy. I'm Monokuma! Your teacher at Hopes Peak Academy!"
"Our teacher is a bear?!" Bheryl cries.
"This has to be a joke." Sam whispers.
"No joke here!" Monokuma says. "And for your first lesson, we're gonna learn about a game you're all gonna play!"
"A game?" Rena mutters.
"The rules are simple. This school is on permanent lockdown. So to escape, all you gotta do is graudute... By killing another student."
The room goes dead silent.
Rena's mind whirls, and she almost falls to the floor.
Kill another student? This isn't serious.. It can't be!
"You're kidding right?!" Rena shouts at the stuffed bear.
"I already told ya, no jokes here!" Monokuma huffs. "So once a student is killed, a class trial will be held. You all have to figure out who the killer is! If you figure out the killer, the murderer will be executed. If you guess wrong, the murderer goes free, and you're all executed instead!"
The silence rings in Rena's ears. No one is saying anything. How can they?
"In addition to going free, the winner of the game also gets ten billion dollars! Aint that a whole lotta cash? You may also wander about the non-restricted areas of the school as you wish. But your curfew is at 10. And when there is a death, it will be announced on the loudspeaker. Remember, the only way out is to kill another student. You wouldn't wanna be stuck in here forever wouldya? Happy killing!"
And with that, the bear disappears.
