What Is It With Italy? (Murder Map)

Whenever Italy pops up to vote for, it always seems to get picked. I don't see why everyone picks it though. Its actually quite dull IMHO. One reason could be that the people that vote for Italy are italians, but why are there so many italians on this server? I can't see what people like in the map itself. There are no secret areas, and it is not at a more interesting place like the moon (Lunar). I could just not like it because i play it 64% of the time I play murder (I've kept tally marks) and it just gets boring. If you know a suitable answer for those two questions,can you please comment below and try to be helpful? Thanks!

This addresses the voting system.

The purpose of the voting system is to be fair, so you'll just have to deal with it. I used to move to new lobbies if there was a map I didn't like.

I agree with J3T and BooLoo, it is just an opinion that most people choose to make. If you decide that you do not like that map or it gets picked to often, move to a different lobby or make some suggestions for improvements to the map or new maps in general. That is what forums is for most of the time <3

Okay, I'll clear up a few things: Yes, Italy being boring IS my opinion, and I know that people like Italy, but WHY do they like it?

Well i can't speak for other people, but i can say my opinion. I think it is a perfect sized map for murder, it has a good amount of turns and not too many hiding places. Emeralds are easy to find so gunners can win, and italy is open so murderers can win. It may lack the fanciness of Clue or the new maps, but in my opinion, it is very well made and balanced map.

I find this offensive because what I am getting from this is you are saying Italians are self-absorbed.

Honestly, I'd think that people choose it since It's not crowded (Ex: Clue) Clue is crowded and hard to get around in, but Toms Funland, Office, and Italy are all open maps, and easier to run around in

People enjoy Italy probably because it's a good map for murderers. Everything isn't so crowded, so the murderer can easily work their way around the map, adding tension to the game. I highly, highly doubt its because Italians want Italy to be played 24/7. Honestly I quite enjoy it. As a bystander or a murderer, you can easily keep walking around the map and generally avoid many of the people that could possibly shoot you/stab you. There's plenty of gems if you know the correct pathways as well.

I am not intending this to be offensive. I just notice that there are lots of Italians voting for Italy. I never said anything about Italians being self-absorbed.

You don't know they're Italian. In my two years of this whole server, I can't recall ever meeting anyone that voted on Ital because they're Italian. Italy is one of the better and more liked maps, therefore causing it to be highly requested to be played on in hubs.

It is also one of the original map, if I'm correct. But I haven't played pz for the two years it's been a server

I am seeing people in the murder hub all the time speaking Italian and whenever Italy is an option, it gets chosen and all the Italians keep saying in the chat "Italia". You may not have noticed, but I most certainly have. I could even post screenies of it.

I speak some Italian, but that doesn't mean i am one. People can speak Italian and not be Italian.

I vote for Italy all the time and I have no relation to Italy. I vote for that map as it's open and easy to play in. There's a variety of emerald spawners and it's just generally a good looking map. People may think otherwise, however I feel most people choose this map as they have somewhat the same opinion of it as I do.
