Ok. The main source to get to a thread for me is clicking recent activity. But lately, people have been joining and linking their home pages to stuff like tablet websites, health websites, etc, is that normal?
 
They are spam accounts/bots, which you should ignore, unless they post a thread advertising a website. If you see one of these accounts with a thread like that, please report the thread and not respond to them.

Yeah what trin said, report them and we'll deal with them - apparently they're evolving to evade the spam filter xD thread locked.
