Every once and a while on MCPZ, you'll find that a player is doing the wrong thing. Staff is online in the same lobby or game, yet they don't do anything that really stops the problem. You make a complaint to them, but they give a really weird reason as to why they didn't. Every once and a while, you'll also experience that you do something that either someone else did and didn't get punished, but you did or you do something COMPLETELY normal but you get punished.

This is a really big problem as lots of people who do the wrong thing get away with it, but people who do the right thing get punished for something they shouldn't have even been told off for.

Now I'm not saying that staff doesn't do their job, I'm just saying that from time to time, staff makes a mistake and the results end up being a little bit annoying.

Please do NOT give hate towards any staff or towards me, this is just a curious thread on the internet =P

The staff team and breaking the rules

All the members of the staff team are well versed on what is and isn't against the rules, how to handle certain situations and to keep everything running smoothly. In turn, you may not actually see what action we've taken to handle a rule breaker and it may seem like nothing is being done when in-fact what we're doing is in the background.

I recommend reading the rule guide as it explains each rule and what it is so that you don't accidently do anything wrong: https://mcpz.net/threads/partyzone-minecraft-server-rules.6724/

Asking whether something is against the rules

If you have a question about whether something is allowed or not, private message (/msg) a staff member and ask. We don't bite. A common mistake some people make about asking whether something is allowed or not is they ask in public chat, meaning that sometimes you might actually be breaking a rule by simply asking. Use the /msg command so that you don't break any rules when asking a staff member.

Example: "Hey Harieo, are we allowed to say 'swear-word'?"
Immediately, you've just sworn in chat which would get you a warning from a staff member. We don't want that to happen so just use private messaging and you'll be fine :p

Reporting users in-case staff missed something

Also, sometimes staff may miss a few things in chat as it does happen every so often when chat gets very busy. If you see this, feel free to screenshot it (F2) and send in a user report on the forum. If the staff member did see it and you weren't aware of it, at least you made sure it was taken care of and we appreciate that. You won't get in trouble if the player has already been punished and you weren't aware.

I hope this answered all of your worries about what we do here. If you have any questions about anything at all, feel free to send me a Private Message on the forum. I will be locking this thread as it could cause some arguments :)

In addition to what Har has said please take the time to look over our rules and regulations for the server as well as our forums rules to help prevent further misunderstandings. Staff can be very busy and miss things in chat, as Har explained, if you see this happen instead of yelling at staff please file a report so they may be punished.

If you feel as though you've been wrongly punished of something you can appeal your punishment here. take into consideration this thread when doing so. Feel free to message me or any other staff with questions.
