I sit on the edge of the roof. My feet dangling. The sun is setting and the sky has turned from such a plain picture to a beautiful painting. The sky’s colours colliding, containing blue, orange, pink and yellow. It’s bold, but soft. It’s magnificent. Extravagant.
I hear the world around me, loud and irritating. People driving, people walking, people cycling and so much more. No one looks the same. I ponder if I know some of these people. Which, I probably do. I just can’t tell from a distance. Usually by now, the Guidance Counselor would be running up here, screaming at me, because he thinks I’m completely insane.
The thing is, I am. He’s right to try get me out. He watches me until I go home because he really does think, I’m going to screw something up.
I’ve dreamt of proving him wrong, for so long. But there’s no point, because he’s right.
( The Prolouge is very short, I know, but it’s just a small test before writing chapter one )
