Hola! This is my story, Enjoy! Please! Beg of You!
There were no Sign-Ups, don't worry, you didn't miss anything!
Now, this story is about a rundown magic city where one girl decides to rebel against authority and gets herself into a pickle. Find out what happens through this series of unfortunate events!

The air was putrid from the smell of ice fumes and poison gases mingling. Once the dust settled, all I could see is Matt’s mom... and a skeleton of my mom. I was in shock, seeing that skeleton on the floor. Only one thing on that skeleton survived - its old red handkerchief. I stood up from my seat in the bleachers and walked down the aisle to the stairs. I descended about 10 flights of stairs before touching grass and gravel. I ran as fast as I humanly could to my open-doored cottage. It was dark, and not a candle in sight. I quickly produced a Flame in my hand to get a good view around the place. I still couldn't see a thing, and my dad was still up in the arena, probably grieving by my mom's skeleton. All I had was gone. My brother, gone. My sister, gone. My mother, gone. My grandmother, gone. My friends, gone. They were all so weak. Too weak to live and fight another day. All I wanted to do was get out of this place! Also, yesterday Matt and I turned twelve - The age where you are finally allowed into the arena to fight. I heard from the booming speakers the voice of the Warden... the words loud and clear,

“Hello everyone, listen up. In honor of Matt Jean and Lindsey Barnett turning twelve yesterday, I have chosen them as the next fighters for tomorrow’s battle! One will find the true meaning of success, and the other’s carcass will be fed to the people in cans. So, if you don’t want to cannibalize, I suggest you convince the fighters to melt the flesh! Place your bets, place your bets! The battle horn goes off in exactly 24 hours from now! They’d better train in my opinion!”

I was distraught. I was going against MATT? I understand like a 15 year old to test my strength, or maybe an Adult to tire me and postpone the match for some reason. Oh my gosh, I was in shock. Matt? Though, I had two choices. I could go to my dad to work on my Earth and Fire elements and supposedly BEAT Matt, or I could find Matt and attempt to find the meaning of all the death and break out of this joint. I was so mad. Even though it was illegal to use destructive and harmful spells outside of the arena, I didn’t care. I prepped a ground-shaking Earthquake move, spread my arms to the side to reveal the Earth crest on my chest, and stomped the ground harder than my mana could handle. The whole town was shaking. Houses were about to tip, trees about to be shattered, families about to be crushed. I collapsed to the ground and nearly passed out. The boulder design on the crest was glowing so bright I thought it would turn into a meteor. I clutched my chest as I rolled over and reached for the landline. It was May 16, 2:30 PM, the clock’s robot voice reminded me. I groaned - I really hated that thing. I dialed Matt’s house PIN and his dad picked up.

“Lindsey, what’s going ON? You’re the only Earth Wielder I know, so start talking.” There was a crash, and some distant cussing. “Hey, speak up, kid! You almost just dropped a wooden beam on top of Matt!”

I perked up, but my crest burned brighter. I was in pain and afraid it would suck me up. My Astral crest was starting to glow. That was a bad sign. I didn’t use an Astral move. “Sir... Matt’s there?”

“Yes... why? Don’t think I’ll let you guys hang out again after this outrage.”

“I need to talk to him. I need to ta-” I gasped, dropping the phone and reaching out with my hand, as if I was reaching to touch Mom. I rolled to some sort of face down turtle position, and leaned back to my knees. I looked up and put my left wrist into view. My Astral crest was now brighter than my Earth crest, blinding to look at. My Fire crest was burning me, too. The ground was still shaking and all three of my Elemental crests were literally BURNING. My body was being absorbed by brown, red, and deep purple cracks. I heard Matt’s dad shouting at me. I couldn’t do anything now. The cracks were turning into gorges. I was shattering. I held my breath as my body disintegrated into thin air. All I could see was pitch black void. Then... I woke up in my bed. I looked at my clock and the blaring robotic voice told me that it was 7 in the morning... on May 16.
