The moon rose fast above the wavy trees. Stars shimmered through the lightly misted sky. The forest was quiet and cool. The animals were all asleep in their dens and nests. The ground crunched underneath my feet, the grass was dry and long. A few animals stirred, but they didn't sound an alarm.
"Psst, Kitty!!" I said, looking around for my friend.
"Yea?" Kitty replied.
"I heard that the den was this way." I whispered. My friend and I tip-toed through the forest.

"Mom?" I asked.
"Yes Alvin?" My mom sounded busy, but i didn't care.
"Do you believe in The Legend Of The Fox?" I asked. The Legend of the fox was an old tale. I had read it in a book when i went to the library. This is what the book said:
"Long ago, a friend of mine was walking through the woods. She came across a secret tunnel leading directly into Mount Valcacios. She crawled her way through the tunnel, it was very sticky. When she had gotten to the other side, there was a massive dungeon. Dripping water came from the top, and hot, thick lava oozed in from the sides. Dusty footprints were everywhere, and they looked small. The ground had been cracked and moldy. But when she got to the other side of the dungeon, she saw a massive throne. On it was a extraordinary fox. His paw were a deep, dusty red. His eyes were a pure, emerald green. His orange pelt gleamed in the light of the lava. His ears a deep brown and red. The fox had great power and could control all of Life Forest"
This book had been written 237 years ago.
"No dear, it's just a fairy tale." My mom didn't believe in anything. But i did..
