After the year Amina's best friend, Spencer, had suffered a fatal death, Amina hadn't been herself lately. She started wearing baggy sweatshirts and she also tries to avoid having to go to school. You see, Spencer was her only friend, and having her death occur was a HUGE deal for Amina. She is positive no one likes her in Westboro, and-
"AMINA! PAY ATTENTION!"
"S-sorry sir-"
"NO! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU AND YOUR SHENANIGANS! OFFICE! NOW!''
Cooper thought this was wrong, so he decided to speak up. He rose his pale white hand.
"Uhm, sir? Amina never really did anything wrong..., can you try not to yell at her?" (This took all of the courage he had in his system to defensively raise his hand, let alone tell his teacher he messed up something.)
"OH, YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY COOPER, HUH? OFFICE TOO THEN!"
Cooper just about broke down into tears. He has never, in any of his school years, been sent to the office for any sort of trouble! He just simply walked by Amina, and as soon as he went into the office, he and Amina explained everything to their principal. Cooper had said, "He yelled at us and -sniffle- were both sent down to here for -sniffle- Amina handed him a tissue.
"T-thanks Amina."
"No problem!"
"Anyway, what Cooper is trying to say is when I got yelled at, he stuck up for me and said that is was wrong and that we BOTH got sent here for sticking up for ourselves."
"What period were you in?" the principal asked.
"Second."
"Teacher?"
"Mr. Tinmastle."
"Okay, you can go back to class, and I will talk to him about all of this. Have a good day!"
At Amina's house...
Amina picked up a small navy blue flyer. She turned the flyer over, and it read "PROM! GET YOUR TICKETS, GET A DATE! APRIL 25!" She sighed in knowledge that she would never be able to afford, nor get a date or dress to the dance. -KNOCK KNOCK- There was a quiet knock on her window. It was Cooper!
He was holding flowers behind his back, along with a dress and Cooper's friends behind him holding signs that read "PROM?" and "AMINA, WILL YOU DATE COOPER?" She just about fainted when she opened her window.
"Heh, I see you know there's a bunch of signs behind me-"
Amina pulled him in for a short yet sweet kiss on the lips. Cooper brought in his friends and the dress he brought in. He then sat to Amina's side.
