Implemented Suggestion to stop the spam bots

As we know, XenForo forum's get spammed (sometimes) with spam bot threads, trying to sell something.

I believe one way to stop these threads is by adding a "moderating thread" to all first posts from a new user. It's pretty much, the first post of a users needs to be allowed/disallowed by a staff member, to make sure it isn't a spam bot thread.

So when a new user posts a thread, a moderator(staff) would have to allow that post. Meaning it'll be public for everyone to see.

This would be very time consuming for the staff and frustrating for the first time players who try to post.
I don't believe it is all that needed either because there aren't many spam bots, and normal players can report them so I'm sure they are found quick.
Though it would be kinda convenient to not have to see the spam anymore. I will remain neutral for now

Maybe just add a "Verify your a human" thing to stop those things. Plus like said, it would be time consuming for staff members to do. but I like it overall so I'll also stay neutral +0

they need to have a certain amount of trophy points or a rank for them to be able to post without requests from mods. or make a limit on new members being able to post threads until they get enough points, which would also end pointless threads and at the same time give the new people a good introduction to the community

I know 1 server that does it, and it has wayyy less staff than here. And, they get 4x times more spam bot threads then here.

Yeah but the server may be smaller and not have as many new members coming in, but none the less I like the idea!

I like @UrWorstNightmare xD's idea with the Human Verification thing. This idea with checking first posts and things will be really a big annoyment for staff and I think it'll just waste their time. However, the human verification idea is what I like the most

You're a genius, I've implemented this for all new registers. Posts will have to be moderated manually until you reach at least 3 approved posts and various other factors.
